I didn’t get to stay there, we were about 1-1/2 hours away and they called us and said their hot water heater had blown up and we could not stay there. They found us another motel but it was in the city which is not our thing so we found our own place to stay

Mirror fell off wall in room that wasn't fixed during our stay. Desk clerk was rude and unresponsive to our requests. This was an old motel with a recent makeover.

The town of Bar Harbor offered many restaurants and gift...
The town of Bar Harbor offered many restaurants and gift shops to choose from. People were very friendly. The harbor offered tours for whale watching or just cruising the Harbor. If you enjoy beer, there is a brewery in town called Atlantic. I highly recommend the Atlantic Blueberry Ale. Make sure the bartender adds fresh blueberries to the beer. Bar Harbor is very close to Acadia National Park, which is in Bar Harbor's back yard. My wife and I loved the Route 66 Restaurant on Cottage Street. We splurged on their lobster and had blueberry pie for dessert. We bought books at Sherman's Book Shop on Main Street. Getting around Bar Harbor is easy but parking can be sometimes difficult plus there is no free parking available.

Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park: A Delicious and Scenic...
Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park: A Delicious and Scenic Escape!
We had a fantastic time exploring Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park! The charming little town offered a delightful escape, with plenty of delicious dining options to keep us fueled. Lobster rolls, ice cream, and coffee became our happy place flavors.
Bar Harbor itself was incredibly walkable (and drivable for those times!), with a convenient grocery store right near our stay at the Acadia Inn. But the true star of the show was the National Park.
For any outdoor enthusiast, Acadia National Park is paradise. We hiked to our heart's content, surrounded by stunning scenery. It was the perfect combination of small-town charm and breathtaking nature!

The downtown area looks like a typical Cruise destination.
The downtown area looks like a typical Cruise destination. Lots of shops with 10000 tee shirts, but some nice and expensive ones as well. Lobster rolls are the big thing, but pricey.'The best restaurants are not the town center, they are outside.

The time spent was on the opening shoulder season.
The time spent was on the opening shoulder season. The price was awesome and the staff as well. If you want a 100% of all the facilities just wait a few weeks and you will have some great extras. Perfect distance from Bar Habor as you are in your own small hamlet

Lovely coastal town free of chain restaurants!!
Lovely coastal town free of chain restaurants!! All the shops and restaurants seemed locally owned and unique to the area. We enjoyed lots of seafood like fresh lobster, clam chowder and lobster bisque. Be sure to walk the coastal path and take a harbor cruise! We loved flying Cape Air from Boston to Bar Harbor to see the coast and islands--just be sure to pick up your luggage in Boston and bring it to the Cape Air terminal! Restaurants we liked-- Geddy's, Ben & Bills Chocolate Emporium for ice cream/gelato/fudge, Stewman's, Bar Harbor Lobster Pound --they had outdoor games, too! Of course, don't miss Acadia National Park and Abel's Lobster right by the yacht yard--great outdoor ambiance!!

We enjoyed sunrises at Cadillac Mountain, crossing the bar at low tide, hiking the Beehive, the Bubbles, and Acadia Mountain, and walking on a small portion of the carriage roads.
Bar Harbor had great food, but it was tough to get into the restaurants. Our favorite was the Side Street Cafe.
We went in late October. Pros - lower crowds. Con - water activities and some restaurants were already closed for the season.
The room was basic but stocked with everything you need - a bit older, but quite clean and the beds were comfortable. The view from the balcony was lovely and was the reason I booked this hotel - every room has a balcony and ocean view. The hot breakfast served was one of the better I've had from a hotel with a wide variety. The staff was very friendly and I like that the hotel has a shuttle to take guests to the downtown area of Bar Harbor. Thanks for the great stay!
Fantastic location- very short walk into downtown Bar Harbor, very short drive to Acadia National Park. The best part about it was the people- Christopher, Constance and Penny were so warm, welcoming and helpful! I felt like I was staying with friends! The light breakfast options in the lobby, fresh baked cookies every afternoon, coffee all day and water bottle filler were all unexpected and so nice! The room was large and easily accommodated our party of 4.
Excellent place to stay in Bar Harbor and the best value around! Clean and comfy rooms. Located right in the downtown area of Bar Harbor, so easy to walk to shops and restaurants. The hotel is also not even 5 mins drive to the Cadillac mountain entrance of Acadia. Breakfast was excellent - yogurt, muffins, croissants, avocado toast, meat/cheese, eggs, and sausage. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
What a gorgeous location. This hotel was the highlight of our trip to Maine. Beautiful ocean views from our balcony. We sat outside in November just to enjoy the ocean. The continental breakfast is an actual menu of fancy omlette's, breakfast sandwiches etc. The food was delicious and the bistro meal was super high end. Everything is so upscale and it's so close to main street. Absolutely loved it.
The room was newly renovated and was extremely clean. The hotel was very thoughtful in letting us know that we can park at the property and roam around bar harbor if we arrive early. They also had breakfast boxes you could pick up from front desk, which was also very thoughtful of them given the hikes you are going to be doing.
We loved the location of this hotel. It was about a 10-15 drive into Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor. The facilities were clean and the staff was extremely friendly. Other than that, we really enjoyed our room! Would definitely recommend staying here!
This hotel was a gem. Great location. Very clean and updated. Room was cleaned daily and fresh towels which we didn't get at a later stay in a name hotel. Friendly staff with a good breakfast. Great location near downtown Bar Harbor.
The hotel is very clean and the staff accommodating. This was our second time staying there and if we return to the area we will definitely stay there again! The location provides easy access to Acadia and to downtown Bar Harbor.
I liked the location of the Inn. It was in walking distance of the downtown area and the Harbor. It was extremely convenient for what we wanted to do. It was also located near shopping and businesses that we wanted to visit.
The location was great. You were close to everything. The shuttle to the downtown picks you up right at the door. Breakfast was really good. Staff was very friendly. Even if the rooms are a bit dated they were very clean.
Really big room, lovely fireplace which helped given the weather. Front desk staff really helpful, pool very good, parking easy. 10 minutes from downtown, 10 minutes from Arcadia NP - perfect!
Loved this hotel. Great location near downtown Bar Harbor, amazing sunrise view over the water from room 48. Loves that they have free coffee available and a cute gift shop. Plenty of parking!
The location was the main attraction that allowed us to walk to the downtown area and not worry about parking. I liked that we had plenty of hot water available.
