The cleanliness and breakfast were not up to the normal standards that I have encountered at the numerous LaQuinta's where I have stayed over the past years. Will not be returning to this facility.

Decatur is from what I can tell a nice town.
Decatur is from what I can tell a nice town. Doesn't give you the feel of a "one- horse- town" or the feel of a metropolitan area. The old downtown is super clean and nice. The area feels safe for family. Roosters bar and grill in the square is good eats, can't remember the name of the coffee house/ bar next door but it's also really nice!

I stayed one (1) night at Motel 6 in Decatur while there on business. The hotel is convenient to the highway and you have quick access to many restaurants. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. Be mindful this is "basic needs" only. Positives: Shower was great. Bed decent. Negatives: Noise. Close to railroad and highway means lots of traffic and noise. Sleep quality was effected.
The first room I checked into smelled like smoke which was unacceptable since the hotel is supposed to be non-smoking. The second room I was offered was located near a work station which was loud all night. The bed linens were stained and/or dirty and the carpet was old and had an unpleasant odor. The hotel appears to be unclean and desperately needs updating. Corporate and/or local management takes no pride in the property.
I liked the private entrance and nearby grassy area for my 5 month pup. There was no need to worry if she’d wait until we got outside- it was directly across the parking lot; very convenient. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. It’s a bit worn out, but the price was much lower than other newer hotels.
We were accommodated at late hours after traveling with littles. The hotel is amazing and clean. The sign lights were out but I was able to call for directions even at 2 am! You can’t beat the price, facilities or welcoming customer service. If I could rate it more than 5 stars I would!
We left too early for breakfast, but were very pleased with our stay, comfort, cleanliness, friendliness and pet accommodations. Wish we're had stayed in a Candlewood in Jacksonville for the week we were there. Do glad we decided to push to Decatur, TX on our drive home to Denver.
The room was clean and the air conditioner worked well. The breakfast staff lady was very pleasant. She kept the area stocked well and clean. Most of the front desk staff were nice. The hotel was in a good location for the people we were visiting.
I like the quiet and remoteness of this place. It's not far from town and places to eat. The rooms are tastefully decorated and have all the amenities one could need. I've been here twice and like it far better than a traditional hotel
Ambiance, location and staff knowledge. Breakfast was very good and they even have a wafflemaker in the shape of Texas. So fun and really good, too. First time in Decatur and felt at home. Even townspeople very friendly and helpful.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the room was very comfortable and housekeeping came each day ( an added bonus compared to other hotels), location is great.
I liked that it was not just another hotel…a different setting, decor, experience. Lots of outdoor area to walk around and for the dog too. Reasonable price.
