Dar es Salaam is indeed a rapidly growing city in Tanzania. It's one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the world. for traveller with family i suggest to selecting Dar es Saalam because nice beaches, people is user friendly, Mikumi, Selous national park, zanzibar with state of art ferry facility from Dar to ZNZ. A main western-style shopping/eating centre is Mlimani City. I am happy to eat local food which is very cheap but there are many restaurants covering * to 5* according to your budget Taxis Bolt and Uber are here and very affordable - I used local transport which is cheap but crowded. Their driver is just amazing. You feel safe with him going around the city even if it's the chaos with traffic. I recommand this local place all the way.
