    My son lives here.

My son lives here. It’s a beautiful community with historic homes, lovely parks, river, kids riding bikes, everyone is friendly. It’s almost Mayberry. So much to see and do. Great restaurants, and not the same old chains. Small business is honorable and thriving.

Salida is a cute town full of historical elements. It is a great place to lay back and have a peaceful and relaxing vacation. It is small but big enough to get away from the city life. There is much to do here, as it is the heart of the rockies! Salida is a great place to go.

Salida is a great mountain town that is dog and skater friendly and has a thriving art scene and modern downtown district. Also, located near so many great mountain attractions: Monarch Pass, Mount Princeton Hot Springs, golf, numerous hikes and biking trails, and of course the best, Great Sand Dunes! I would recommend a stay here to anyone! (Try to stay a week because a long weekend just isn't enough.)

Its a quaint, small Hotel with a nice room.

Its a quaint, small Hotel with a nice room. We were travelling with our dog and that was accepted, maybe for that we got a larger room at the side which was prefect. They had a to go breakfast and Coffee and Juice to get you out the door in the morning. We enjoyed our stay, we went skiing for 3 days and it was the perfect place. Walking Distance to some restaurants, a park/playground. My daughter left her beloved stuffed animal and they texted us about it and send it back to us, which was so wonderful!

The hotel was located right at the base of the Colorado Collegiate Range of mountains. There is a local hill with biking and hiking trails just down the street. White-water rafting and many city activities are available within minutes. The amenities inside the room made it feel more like staying at a family member's house. For example, the coffee provided was an actual container of grounds from a local coffee shop. The coffee cups themselves were small, decorative ceramic cups.

I booked this for my parents for one night on a little road trip. They admired the retro style, cleanliness, friendly staff and creative touches (original Amigo coffee blend- so cute). The Amigo warns of potential road noise but my folks reported that because they put in all new windows their room was very quiet for sleeping- notable also because they had neighbors in rooms on both sides. I think this was a nice little stopover in the lovely little town of Salida.

The whole design concept was great. The retro feel worked, and the little red mini fridge was cute as a button. The bed was great, there was a hairdryer, and toiletries, and the shower was wonderful. towels were plush. Nice place. The check in gal sent me to a great place for dinner and I really loved that recommendation. I will stay here again when I return to Salida!

We loved our stay! The owners go above and beyond to give you all of the comforts and amenities of home and more. From the game room to the hot tub, our family enjoyed our time unwinding after a long day of skiing. Perfectly located just 20 minutes to Monarch, and minutes from groceries, gas, and restaurants. We highly recommend this location for your Salida vacation.

This is in a good location right on the highway in Salida. Watch for the Volkswagen Beetle sticking out of the front of the office and you'll know you're there. This place is newly remodeled and really super cute. Everything is new and we enjoyed our stay. Walmart is just down the street. We were ready to re-stock a few things on our trip.

Comfortable updated motel room for a one night stay while we were hiking in the area. More spacious than we expected. Lovely view out the window at the back. The continental breakfast was actually better than I expected (breads, oatmeal, cereal, boiled eggs). Short drive to Salida downtown as well as many restaurants and coffee shops.

Breakfast had huge options: egg sandwiches, burritos, omelets, bagels, toast, pastries, oatmeal, fruit. It is the best breakfast I have had in a low priced hotel. Rooms were clean, comfortable, with fridge and microwave. Beds were very comfortable. Hosts were exceedingly attentive to anything we needed. A perfect stay.

We had a remodeled room that was exceptionally clean with a new door locking system. It was very user friendly and the entire property was very well kept and clean. Breakfast was standard motel fare. The historic area of Salida down near the river is quite charming and we very much enjoyed our stay.
