The location was great, I loved the Mexican restaurant built in the side, the parking lot was nice and had enough spots for us, a gas station right next to it was very convenient for walking over, the room was stocked with everything you need, beds were nice and clean, A/C was very cold and comfortable, and fridge/freezer worked great!

The room was 52 steps above a fast flowing river. The sound of rushing water was pleasantly present the entire stay. The room was recently updated. The water pressure was amazing! Comfortable bed, couch, and a nice table outside with two rocking chairs and benches.

We had difficulty finding check-in office due to the Mexican Restaurant that resides in the middle of the property. We were greeted with a reprimand for not scheduling in the morning. We had no idea they had an Oktoberfest going on and we had selected only a place to stay for traveling purposes when we had become tired and wanted to get some sleep. We were told we were the last room. There was a dead roach in one corner. The dead bolt did not work from the inside. We contemplated leaving but were tired. There was inadequate seating for breakfast. Not a pleasant experience. No reason to ever go back.

Beautiful town centered in middle of mountain range filled with friendly people. Not just a drive through. Easy to get to. Offers an array of VERY interesting shops and modern country style restaurants. Lots of walking trails, boating, fishing and breathtaking views. Relaxation abounds. This was our 4th visit with plans to return.

Do better with taking care of everyone equally!!!
Do better with taking care of everyone equally!!! not just because of their look different and listen !!! people are willing to pay why not meet their needs and are respectful towards their needs. Not everybody smokes we respect that!!! But be reasonable that’s why’s we book in hotels
It’s supposed to be the best in the area but slightly disappointing.
Do better but we love like 3 of all your staff !

Clayton is a great little mountain town with numerous really good restaurants. The Rusty Bike Cafe and Universal Joint are two of my favorites. The Rusty Bike has a great breakfast, but get there early. The mountain scenery can't be beat either. Tallullah Gorge State Park and Black Rock Mountain State Park are beautiful and the trails will help you work off your breakfast of banana bread French toast from The Rusty Bike. The Blue Ridge Honey Company is near the town of Clayton on Hwy 441. They have a good selection of honey at reasonable prices. There are also wineries and lakes in the area, for those who are interested.

Such a cute, little mountain town!
Such a cute, little mountain town! So many shops and restaurants within walking distance of the inn where we stayed. Everywhere that we ate was delicious. Several state parks are within a short drive. We visited Moccasin Creek State Park for hiking, and took a very nice hike to Hemlock Falls. Fortify 3.14, Universal Joint, and Rumor Has it were delicious restaurants. Were recommended Fortify fine dining, but reservations were not available when were there. We stayed at the White Birch Inn. I HIGHLY recommend staying there! Lovely inn with so many amenities, great breakfast, and wonderful staff! We are already planning our next trip back! We didn't have time to do everything that we would like to have done!

Clayton was a beautiful little town in the gorgeous mountains. The folks were very friendly. My husband particularly enjoyed the electric motorcycle Excursion with red clay Sports. Philip and his wife Melissa at the Excursion were very welcoming.
The accommodations at this house are amazing. It was such a charming and comfortable place to stay. The location in the trees was both relaxing and convenient to downtown Clayton. I was thrilled about how cozy and quiet the place was. The décor was well appointed and the beds were a dream to sleep in. We had a minor snafu that was immediately addressed by the host who went above and beyond to make sure it was taken care of. We know that if we ever come back to Clayton, we are staying in this house with this host again.
I had stayed here before. This time was different. There were several men standing & hanging out at a large pickup truck by my room 108. I did NOT feel safe! Read on. I have a handicap card … & room … I returned from dinner & the latch Lock Screws weee loose & I did NOT feel safe. I took my service dog & my rolling suitcase / work laptop & left in a HURRY because I did NOT feel safe
The location is wonderful, lose enough to town but far enough to feel alone in the mountains. Didn’t use the pool, golf course or spa, but they looked like fun. The private covered parking space was a nice luxury. Beds were comfortable, and liked the covered porch with table and chairs.
The hotel is excellent!! People who works there, pool, everything is perfect to enjoy a break, vacation, week or weekend
Near the hotel you have a downtown which we loved it, and we travel one hour to go to Lake Jocasse which is beautiful too!
We are thinking to come back to the hotel❣️
Clean and comfortable house right on the lake! The house had everything we needed. Hot tub clean & comfy - so enjoyable. Super quiet street with very few cars. Walking distance to the marina. Great area close to Clayton, Hiawassee, Tallulah Gorge.
The service was personalized. The breakfast was excellent! There were several restaurants within a 5 minute walk. The hotel has excellent several wineries available within an hours drive.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. We requested a ground floor room and we were accommodated. The view was beautiful and the hotel was right in town.
