Minneapolis has a lot going on and a lot to offer, but I detest driving in this city. It's one big spaghetti knot, and even my GPS got confused. When I was there in winter for a concert, the city put NO melting agent on super icy roads (possibly because the Mississippi River is nearby), and there were over a dozen accidents or cars off the roads. You could only travel about 35 in 65 mph zones, and we were late for the concert.
The city is very eco-conscious, which I deeply admire.

We loved Minneapolis!
We loved Minneapolis! There was lots to do outside (fantastic park system, Mississippi River, water falls ...) and many breweries and distilleries and restaurants to explore. The Mall of America is certainly that! We had a lot of fun!

We were in town just for an overnight visit.
We were in town just for an overnight visit. We went to Birchbark Books an independent, local bookstore and an excellent one at that. Then had dinner at Owamni which was amazing and delicious. The next day we drove out to Chanhassen to Paisley Park for the Prince tour and it was worth every penny.

Hotel was hard to find, not enough signage at ground level.
Hotel was hard to find, not enough signage at ground level. Parking was expensive and the cost was not mentioned at time of booking. After unpacking we had to move rooms as the toilet was not working. The TV remote not working (it was quickly fixed), some light bulbs burned out, the floor and furniture was stained. Overall we were disappointed. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good.

The town seemed dead, although I visited in March and was not cold most of the day time but it seemed like no one was around even in the downtime. The other thing I noticed that the city is too "white", not much diversity or international community visible there. Many buildings in the downtime seemed empty and some had wooden planks instead of glass windows.
The hotel location was excellent with eateries and shopping on a walking distance. Hotel was very well kept and clean. It is a bit old but clean. The breakfast was good, they had eggs and some meat either ham or chicken/cheese mini taco, I loved the min tacos. The break selection was decent, coffee was good. Although they keep the coffee the whole day but other than breakfast time the coffee was not fresh or even hot. If I get a cup of coffee in the afternoon, I had to heat it in the microwave and taste was bitter due to old.
Stayed here for a Small Town Murder show at the Pantages Theatre. It was my first time in Minneapolis so wasn't familiar with the area, but this is a great area to stay. Good centralized area to walk to anything near by.
All the staff I interacted with at Hampton Inns were great. The breakfast was great as well. Biscuits and gravy are a great way to start your day.
Located in the Mill district, walking distance from US Bank stadium and the river/rec area. Easily accessible, low traffic density. Higher-end restaurants are a short Uber trip away. 13 minutes from downtown St. Paul. Rooms were beautifully appointed and very clean. Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. Fast mobile check-in and keycard system.
The hotel is located in a wonderful Art Deco building, and the decor is modern and functional, yet respectful of the building's heritage. The location is good, and the hotel is connected to Minneapolis's Skyway and right next to a parking garage (you can get a QR pass from the concierge for $30/day, IIRC).
Breakfast was great and included in our booking ($50 voucher each day) for breakfast in their very nice restaurant. Easy walk to Guthrie, Mill Museum. We also took tram from airport snd hotel was short walk from Government Station. Downtown Minneapolis very very quiet in middle of summer!
The hotel is clean and confortable. It's also really well located downtown (about 20 minutes walk max from the Target Field or the US Bank Staduim). Good restaurants and bar close by.
The continental breakfast was a nice surprise. Nothing extraordinary, but generous and good.
Nice and quiet, clean, spacious rooms, wonderful coffee, loved having a water pitcher and RO water available, attached restaurant was convenient and very convenient location. Would absolutely stay again. Very few hotel’ downtown have pools and this had a great pool area!
The location was great. We were able to walk Most places. Megz at the front desk was AMAZING and very helpful! Everytime she saw us, she asked how everything was going. Best customer service I had the whole 4 days in Minneapolis! She even allowed us to check in early!
We never ended up making it in time for hotel breakfast, but the location being downtown is very nice and easy to get to the concert venue I was attending downtown. Our room was very cozy and it was nice that parking was close.
Our first time staying with Sonder. Everything was exceptional! As someone who works within the hospitality industry, Sonder has inspired me to pursue getting into hotel management. I’m very impressed with the company.
Love this hotel & it’s location. Any time we are up in Minneapolis it will continue to be our go to place.
Everything was great, but I am still waiting on an email receipt for my stay.
The hotel is beautiful and the staff are wonderful! I've stayed here twice now within 2 months because I love it, wouldn't stay anywhere else in Minneapolis.
