I didn't have the right bus card, but the driver let me ride anyway... I found an old bicycle on the street, but the seat was not rideable, I could ride it standing up but not sitting down. Our first visit to S Korea and we picked Jeju since we love nature and prefer to avoid crowded cities. Absolutely love the greenery and we were lucky it was hydrangea season hence we get to admire the beautiful flowers everywhere we go. Jeju is an island full of contrasts, where among basalt rocks we can find white sand beaches and cristaline turquoise waters. A delight to our eyes. It has a bit of everything. Mountains, folk villages, great museums, wonderful coastline, great food, lovely cafes, beautiful places to stay, lovely spots, waterfalls, caves, etc, etc. It is hard to describe the beauty of the island because one thing is to be there and another are the descriptions or photos that hardly make justice. if you ever heard about it that something is so beautiful, it makes you cry? I had that in Jeju. the views, the beaches, the mountains, the cliffs. the ilands smelled like citrus the whole time. locals were so welcoming although we did not understand each other :) as a female solo traveler I managed well. traveling through locations mostley with buses and taxis. I will definitly come back more than once. I did not want to go back to real life afterwards. for long walks lovers there are lots of walking trails here. Jeju had much in the way of landscape to offer.
Jeju had much in the way of landscape to offer. The museums and artist villages were lovely as well. I couldn't summit Hallasan due to snow, but the journey was unforgettable and the locals were super helpful. I can recommend Imo's Restaurant, Hanyangdong Kitchen and Waview Cafe for sure.Guest review byAnonymous

The rooms are clean and spacious. At high floor can see whole of city and airport. The pace of life here is very rush because everywhere is full of people. Going to town is convenient as bus stop is just few steps away. Public bus are abundant but only accept card payment ( CU or T card ) card since Oct 2024.
