FAQs about hotels in Málaga

he Colorful Soul of the Costa del Sol

The birthplace of Picasso is as colorful as an artist’s palette, from the deep blue of the Mediterranean Sea to the golden sun, which gives 300 days of sunshine per year. When the sun sets, the vibrant nightlife awakens and you’ll find your place among the youthful square of the old center, the trendy bars of La Malagueta or on one of the terraces of Pedregalejo.

There’'s also rich history underneath the sun and fun. Alcazaba is a Moorish castle from the 11th century and just next to it are the remnants of a Roman Theatre. The white stone tower of the Malaga Cathedral rises up in the heart of the city centre, and offers an interesting respite from sun bathing on the magnificent and popular beaches.

A more modern history can be appreciated by visiting the birthplace of Picasso and a museum full of exhibitions by Malaga 's most famous resident. A more relaxed Spanish city than Madrid and Barcelona, Malaga is still the gateway to the Costa del Sol and the busy Malaga Airport is only 6 miles from the center of town.

From budget hostels to 5-star luxury hotels, with Booking.com you're sure to find the perfect place to stay for your sunny vacation.

Malaga is very good place for families and groups of friends to visit. Just be sure to check the weather, as it can be very hot and you might not feel like going out during the day.The cathedral is stunning, and the marina is lovely to walk around. the food is delicious and the city is not too big which makes it easy to explore. They had factory outlet if you want to go for shopping and nice high street shops. above all i love their sweets.

Our biggest disappointment was the “famous” El Pimpi restaurant which we had specifically booked ahead of our stay in Malaga. The staff were lack lustre and not much help. They referred us to the QR code for scanning to access the menu, which was a pain to use. The service was slow and only three of our four meals arrived. No one bothered to check if everything was ok so we had to physically flag down another member of staff to raise this issue. The response was more or less “it’ll be along shortly, don’t panic”. It wasn’t, and we didn’t cos the the food was not worth getting excited about. Very poor all round, will not be back. There are lots of really good eateries in Malaga that you don’t need to book ahead.

I liked the cycle ride into the city, and exploring the old town and port. I enjoyed a self-guided architecture walk/cycle ride. We cycled to the botanical gardens which were amazing. The old town was lovely and Picasso's house was very interesting. The food was delicious.

Malaga, A beautiful City with so much to see. Cathedral Museums and Castle. Untold number of Restaurant Tapa bars and. Wine Bars. Top Stores for shopping. Plus a train that takes right down the Coast as far as Fungeriola. Numerous stops and resorts along the way. First stop out of City brings to a huge. Shopping Complex. A few stops on there is Plaza Mayor, another huge Complex. Train also takes You right to Airport.

Have visited Malaga many times and quite often go for the Xmas lights which are amazing. We’ve travelled a lot and this is one of our favourite cities. Great shopping, restaurants and cultural areas. Beaches good too. Easily accessible from the airport by train at 2.80 euros. Good connection to other major cities by Renfe train network accessible at Mario Zambrano station.

We liked everything about the property. The staff were kind, reactive and full of good advice. The breakfast was fine. The hotel is ideally situated in the Old Town with a lovely view of the Roman Theatre and the 'Alcazaba' just a few minutes away on foot. Despite the hundreds of tourists to Malaga milling around in the streets surrounding the hotel, everything is done to successfully keep the noise in the streets.

Nice and friendly staffs. Beautiful hotel with a lovely room. Amazing view from the rooftop bar. A personal welcome note which made we feel very special and complimentary nut, candy and coffee in our room were amazing. Great location to walk around the harbour, the beach, center of town and including the old town too. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would like to stay there again next time we are in Malaga.

Fantastic appartment with everything we needed for a family holiday and more - a real touch of luxury! Great location with easy and cheap transport links to airport and into Malaga's historic centre plus we were walking distance to beach and a wide choice of restaurants. The host made us most welcome and we can't wait to return!

We needed a hotel close to airport after travelling through Spain. We tried to avoid the British hotspots so were anxious about staying in Malaga. This place was an oasis if calm with still things to keep children more than busy. Pool is great and clean with great access to a clean beach.

The definition of boutique is definitely appropriate, I would rate the hotel, room, breakfast and staff more than a 10 if I could. It was one of the best hotel's we've stayed at, a 5 star memorable experience that we will won't forget. We would stay again if we return to Malaga!
