I liked the ambiance of the place.
I liked the ambiance of the place. We had all our meals in the hotel itself, the serves are huge and very tasty. We didn't do too much walking due to a medical condition. The people we did meet were very friendly and it is a dog friendly town. Victor Harbor is great place even in the middle of Winter.
Victor Harbor is great place even in the middle of Winter. There are numerous places for whale watching and a dedicated Whale Watch Center for help. Various cafes, hotels and restaurants are around to cater for a variety of meals, from take away fish and chips to the better sit down restaurants. Easy walking trails to get a little closer and breathe in the wonderful sea air. The Causeway between Victor and Granite Island had been updated since we were last there, and we were pleasantly surprised to see the dedicated track for the horse drawn tram was made of softer material than the concrete. I visited Victor Harbor last November for a week's holiday.
I visited Victor Harbor last November for a week's holiday. Had a great time visiting Granite Island on the horse tram and a Cockle Train ride to Goolwa. Looks really nice now that the motel has been refurbished and painted outside. We stayed before current owners took over the motel & the paint job has really modernised the complex.
