An unbelievable gem of a property with wonderful chalets. Felt like we were staying in paradise. Did a braai there by the side of the river and hiked to their own stunning waterfall. The staff helps you with everything.

Delightful place to stay, and a perfect point to spend the night en route from Oliver Tambo airport to Kruger national park. It's in a delightful spot, and the rooms are spacious and lovely. Excellent breakfast. We found great, quirky place to have dinner in nearby Sabie, so the whole experience was excellent. Good value. The following day we drove up the Panorama route with amazing falls to Kruger.

This is an older house with very good furnishings and well-equipped kitchen. Seldom that you will have a washing machine, dryer and dishwasher. I was not aware of the latter and unable to use it, as no tablets were provided. That was no problem however as we had little dishes to do each time. The area is nice and quiet. Perfect to relax. It was very cold, but the rooms were extremely comfortable and warm, having wall mounted heaters to keep out the cold at night. Shopping for groceries or take aways are not near, so do that before you check in.

    It was great to see all the sights around the area such as Bourkes Potholes, Mac Mac Falls, Graskop & Gods Window which we hadn’t seen for over 30 years. However I wouldn’t stay in Sabie again & would have preferred a farm or country house to stay at.

    Sabie is a wonderful little town, there are so many...

    Sabie is a wonderful little town, there are so many beautiful waterfalls in the area and very close to the most beautiful view on earth like God's window and the Blyde River Canyon. It is also very close to Kruger so you get the best of both worlds.

    About an hour away from most attractions. Beautiful views. Very relaxed. Clean town. Best part is the fresh air. Nature at its best. Lots to see. The wild fig tree is an amazing place to eat. Petena pancakes was a delight and something different.

    Beautiful place to immerse in natural surroundings & especially the several waterfalls to feast. Halaal Wimpy is less than 5min away. Spar/Shoprite and so many other small convenient stores close by. Many scenic highlights along the Panaromic route to explore eg. Blyde River Canyon, God's Window, three Rondavels etc

    Viewing of the waterfalls has to be carefully planned. As a wheelchair user, you cannot gain access to most of the falls. Take enough fluids wherever you go, it's really hot and humid. Don't think you'll find dinner on a Sunday afternoon, after 1 everything closes. Buy whatever you need Saturday. Some road conditions are terrible, but can be accessed by a lower vehicle. Just drive very slowly. The bookstore in town is definitely a big winner and should be visited.

    A great location endowed with natural wonders around. Its proximity to Graskop makes it an ideal location. It has all the amenities you might need - restaurants, supermarkets, fuel garages etc. The roads are good. I honestly didn't expect to see such good roads.

    Our Sabie River Camp booking was a last minute one. They were ableto accommodate us without hesitation and upon arrival greated us like old friends. We were welcomed into the fold and spend a delightful weekend making memories. The facilities are clean, comfortable, very child friendly. The owner and his staff are around making sure everyone is comfortable at all times and always up for engaging in a chat or sharing titbits about hidden gems in the area. We will most definitely be back for a longer stay next time.

    The location was the best, loved it. The views, garden, river especially. Clean gardens, chalets everything. Chalets so spacious and lovely. Our chalet was directly across the river, to the bridge and pool, area great. In fact all the chalets are in front of the river. The scenery was just amazing, peaceful and the most I loved was the sound of the river, so calming, relaxing. I would definitely go back there. 10 rating to Sabie Star. Very much recommended to the public, you will love it.
