The hotel itself is fine. Easy check in and out. Really hard working house keepers and when we were not satisfied with our room we were upgraded to a premium room that was much bigger. The first room we got was a joke. The new room was great but then the AC did not work properly.

The hotel was in a great location that we were able to go to nearby beaches as well as have the water park easily accessible. We were also able to visit nearby towns and Marina by way of Taxi or walking. The hotel staff was very hospitable. The ocean view rooms had very big balcony with wonderful view. The maid staff was friendly and helpful. Each night there was some sort of entertainment. Lunch options in the Snack bar very helpful for when you swimming but need something to each. The main dining room had a little something for everyone. Variety was good. Sangria was very good.

Cool balcony with sea view, nice working kitchen, close to beach. Breakfast and dinner - a lot of food and very tasty! We stayed for 20 days and really liked the hotel. Air condition was very quiet!

    I was in Spain for the first time and I really liked...

    I was in Spain for the first time and I really liked Benalmadena. Of the beaches, I liked Playa Jose the most. Two sunbeds with umbrellas cost 14 euros. Very friendly beach manager. You can order a drink and food there, which is prepared in a cafe on the embankment. Be sure to visit Benalmadena Pueblo and enjoy the real Spanish atmosphere. On the embankment, I liked the cafe The Sootn Beach with very tasty food. Nearby is a place with homemade ice cream. The Aquarium restaurant had excellent food and a very friendly owner, who explains in English about any dish.

    There is lots to see in the surrounding area.

    There is lots to see in the surrounding area. Malaga is fairly close and is worth visiting for a day or two. There is a little area called Benalamadena Pueblo which sits on a hill. There are a few English owned businesses aroiund. The coastlne is quite dramatic and it gets hot.

    It's extremely touristy.

    It's extremely touristy. BUT absolutely everything is right at hand—shops, cafés, bars, restaurants, grocery stores, mini markets. Don't expect great food anywhere. However, the prices are really good. (Note: We live in Copenhagen so we thought the prices were amazing but, of course, that opinion might differ based on where you come from.) The beach is a crowded, however it's sandy (mushy/muddy) but really great if you have children who want to sit and play or venture into the water. A short walk through pebbles and a minor step down going into the water but then sandy and shallow for a decent way out.

    Benalmadena has grown over the years and like other resorts...

    Benalmadena has grown over the years and like other resorts attracts a predominantly younger type of tourist. However it’s still family friendly and not in the least chavvy. Marina is spectacular. Quailty and range of eateries is excellent. Locals in the main are friendly.

    There is everything you can think of to do in Benalmadena...

    There is everything you can think of to do in Benalmadena late nights partying to quite meals out in nice bars The seafront is nice with a lovely flat promenade to wall for miles along lined with every kind of eatery and bars, 2 very comfy sunbeds with a shade is 14-16 euros a day. The Marina is lovely to walk around with boat trips available, again great restaurants here although slightly more expensive as usual. The cable car is worth a go if you want to see superb view of the Costa Del Sol Coast etc costs about 19 euros each. Its a great place for a beach or sight seeing holiday

    It is very hilly, not great for the physically impaired.

    It is very hilly, not great for the physically impaired. The station is located at the top of the town and there is a taxi rank outside. More bars and restaurants are located in the side streets and on the main area around the station.
