Calsbad is a quaint village with walkable night life restaurants and bars. Only north Carlsbad has limited beach access due to houses built on the bluff, the majority of the town, everything south of Carlsbad Village Dr and north of Cannon Rd is unobstructed public access. From the Tamarack Beach Resort, we were able to walk to the Daily News for breakfast, the Harbor Cafe for lunch, and have dinner at the hotel adjacent Dini’s. It's mostly an upscale suburban community. Lots of nice grocery stores and other shopping. I was there because my Sister and Niece live there. When I'm visiting with my wife, we like Oceanside.
