We travel there a couple times a year to stay for a few days and so numerous day trips as well. It’s a lovely place, very busy and touristy and can be difficult to find parking but don’t let that stop you! There is a great vibe and mix of people from all ages… We spend heaps of time at the main beach, sone at the multiple takeaway or sit down eateries. There is something for everyone! You can go by foot, local bike rentals when in the esplanade… there are Wednesday and Saturday markets weekly… I enjoy the atmosphere at Wahlburgers right on Cavill Street opposite the Maccas… but won’t decline a good takeaway coffee from Starbucks just down from it! Heaps of activities for a cost to do but worth doing if you are there for a Bucky list ‘tick’😊Guest review byArmstrongAustralia - 10.0

It's like a country town, everyone is happy, streets are clean shops are all lovely. lovely food places to eat or just sit and have coffee. We were able to walk everywhere as it's all so close. Only overnight stay As a home stay certain services were presented like communal television room , this meant that you couldn't relax in your room ,especially important when one guest had had a medical procedure that afternoon . We were fortunate to have an en suit. some rooms has to share bathrooms . Communal kitchen for a cup of tea. Other activities were available for guests like jigsaw. I loved the tranquility most.
I loved the tranquility most. Currumbin Valley is lush and green, yet it is easy to access both the Gold Coast and Northern Rivers popular tourist destinations. Apart from the expected theme parks, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and a coast full of famous beaches, the Direct Factory Outlet Harbour Town in Biggera Waters would have to be the biggest in Australia. Tallebudgera valley is beautiful and close enough to get to places of interest while being out in the countryside. Spent some time in Burleigh Heads where you can get excellent coffee from Paradox Coffee Roasters. Had a vegan lunch at Izakaya Midori in Reedy Creek, amazing Japanese food. I do love the Gold coast, everything is there that I need, but especially the many choices of Accommodation (my fav to stay is Chateau on beachside SP), the GC white sandy beach, Lifesavers are all along the beach, there's Surfers Paradise market (we were there during August/ so 3 days @4pm-9pm in winter months), walking paths, shops, cafe's and restaurants are all great. One thing my brother and I did notice is the Tram/ bus services were terrific, Get a 'GoCard' and hop on a tram to get around.. tap it on/ tap it off. do not get on a tram without one of those, you will be fined. If you have never been to Tweed Heads before, you will enjoy the nearby beaches, variety of cafes & restaurants. Our favourite is the Orient Restaurant located in the Twin Towns club. General cleanliness was good but could have done with a Spring clean ie dust in the blinds, cobwebs in the corners & ants in the kitchenette. The wifi was very poor but wasn’t staying long enough to make an issue of it. The pool did not look inviting and did not look as advertised as many leaves in the pool with filter hose floating around. Garden and back yard looked unkept and nothing like the manicured gardens in the advertisement but the basics were done ie mowed. Door lock code appeared to be working but I was able to get in without a code so it could have become a security issue. Unfortunately as the weather was cyclonic, and we only had a 1 night stay we didn't get to see what the area was like. I can say that the location is absolutely beautiful, high up with amazing views ( as much as I could see through the driving rain). I would love to visit the area again.
