Lovely town. Friendly residents. Great pies and coffee from Bakeorama Bakery. Lots of attractions including cattle sale yards, sculptures of the outback and huge bottle trees lining streets, beautiful Anglican Cathedral and the fantastic big rig

Friendly little town, with an abundance of licensed premises. Great Bowls Club with friendly staff ang great greens. The bowls club also has sites for caravans. Plenty of restaurants to suit all needs. Fast food - Macca's & KFC in town. The Roma bakery definitely worth a visit for breakfast with an extensive menu and great freshly baked products. Whilst in town visit the Big Rig for a look at history. Easy to get around town, no Uber but Roma Taxis always available. Whilst in town look at a visit to the Carnarvon Gorge (There is a bit of walking to do. So, if you're not fit to walk distances there is a group in Roma that takes you to spots with limited walking.

We enjoyed Roma, major attractions within walking/running distance of our accommodation. A hub to other locations we visited such as the Spa at Mitchell, parkrun at Surat and the pub at Mucka. Glad we had aircon as it got to 41 degrees.

Please do not stay here it was a terrible experience.

Please do not stay here it was a terrible experience. I was verbally abused by a woman who did not identify herself but claimed authority to make us move accommodation after we had unpacked and settled in. She was threatening and aggressive, the interaction left me disturbed and upset for some days afterwards. Dealing with this angry woman made me have bad memories of Roma and I could not wait to get out of the town. This is not what you expect when staying in accommodation. I strongly encourage you to seek accommodation elsewhere and hope that other tourist operators in the area are more hospitable and gracious. Perhaps this woman is just jaded by all the contractor workers in the area, this tourist park is making a lot of money with FiFo contractors but is the money worth it when they just spew anger.

On arrival by bus, we hired a car from AVIS which helped us get around. It was a family history visit and we appreciated the staff at Roma and District Family History and at The Butter Factory Museum. As we were looking at specific places - family houses, cemetery, family church, and family workplace history we did not go to see 'Roma' in particular. However, having spent a lot of time in Roma in the past, it was lovely to see the work along the Bungil, the museums, the bottle trees still thriving, the new hospital, new estate and the levee, but sad that Hunter Bros store is derelict. It is great that the Railway Station is heritage listed, but what a pity there are no longer staff working there.

The Roma Mid Town Motor Inn is a convenient place to lay your head for the night. I used to stay here when I was working out this way from 2000 to 2010. now I stay when travelling through the area. Centrally located its a short walk shops, franchise food outlets, restaurants and pubs. There is onsite parking available right outside of your room. It’s our go to motel when we are staying in Roma. Whilst we do recommend it is one of the dearer places we stayed on our 2023 tour. Again this could be a booking.com thing.

Checkin in was very friendly and efficient. Undercover carport right outside our door. Rooms are around the back so no noise from the street. Clean, comfortable beds with plenty of hot water. Toilet had a door - which was great for a family of 4 staying in one room. Good value. Only motel I could find in Roma that offered 2 x double beds in a room.

After spending 3 weeks in outback towns coming to stay at the Roma Inland Motor Inn was absolutely lovely. The room was modern, with large TV and great bed. Towels were fresh and fluffy the big bathroom had heating lamps, which was appreciated. Complementary biscuits in the tea caddy were from local bakery which was a nice touch.
