I went there with two girlfriends to celebrate my 80th birthday. We loved the location because we could walk to everything downtown... We loved the little Turkish restaurant only a block away.
We all three loved the funkiness and the charm of each room and each area in the hotel and the petanque court.
We didn't use the bikes but we were glad they were there.
The staff was friendly and helpful. I liked the Mexican women that were making the crepes...so sweet.

The room was very nice and comfortable, and in a good location for coming home to Terra Linda. The climate controls worked well. The outdoor patio area of the hotel looked inviting, but it was a bit chilly that weekend, and we had limited time.
Novato is a quiet suburb north of San Francisco. It is mainly a working class town with a few enclaves of expensive large houses on acreage lots. There is also an area of large rural properties where horses are popular as well as other barnyard animals.
Access to the ocean is via Novato Blvd. ( a central street running through the center of town ); following Novato Blvd. west is a beautiful 45 minute drive to the town of Point Reyes Station and the Pacific Ocean beaches just beyond (10 minute drive further west).
Lovely visitor friendly beaches and hiking areas. Local shops & good restaurants, a bakery, a grocery store are all available in the town of Point Reyes Station if you take the ride to the ocean

This hotel is a great value!
This hotel is a great value! It's not fancy but it's clean and they are working at updating the rooms. It's close to Point Reyes National Seashore, Muir Woods and downtown San Francisco but it's far enough away that it feels safe and it's very affordable. There wasn't much for breakfast but the breakfasts aren't great even at the hotels that have a lot of offerings for breakfast. We ended up stopping to eat at the Marin French Cheese Co. and highly recommend it.

It's a small town surrounded by hills and beautiful landscapes. It's full of Ma and Pa's businesses. It's relaxing. Sit at the lounge and have a coffee, You'll feel that time just stopped. It's laid back and in contrast to a crowded San Francisco, just 30-minute drive. Proximity to vineyards and wineries.

Perfect for those who don't want to be in the city but convenient enough to visit to San Francisco. And convenient to visit the wine country of Sonoma and Napa Valley and go a little further north to see the tall redwoods forest.

This stay was rather pricey.
This stay was rather pricey. Although clean and generally acceptable, there was only a very basic room/facilities.
On the positive side, breakfast was nice with many options. Restaurant next door, Perry's, was really fun and we went twice.

An interesting downtown area.
An interesting downtown area. Met some very nice and helpful folks. Was disappointed that the American Indian Museum was closed but no advance notice of same. That was my primary reason for visiting the town. Apparently they are remodeling. I found the Novato Historical Museum instead. Talked with several helpful, knowledgeable and friendly staffers. Two ladies recommended a good place for dinner, Grazies, which was very good.
A “happening” downtown on Saturday night. Felt safe walking from and back to my car for dinner.
The rooms are really clean and comfortable. Much better than you would expect from motels in the area that are more expensive. I usually like to stay in the King Size room when I go on vacation and I haven’t had a complaint thus far with the rooms I’ve stayed in. The building is in a safe and quiet so you don’t have to worry about getting a good nights sleep. I also really like how close it is to Safeway and other stores in the area. Overall it doesn’t get much better than this place when it comes to value.
Safe well-lit parking lot, clean updated rooms with quality construction, good wifi, safe location and hotel for single woman traveler. Breakfast buffet had good options, there was an outdoor pool, a reading nook with books to borrow, and computers for printing out boarding pass. This was nicer than a usual Best Western in my opinion. Easy on-off to 101. Good pillows, good room temp, good bed! Very pleased. Nice sized fridge in the room as well.
Staff is courteous and accommodating, the grounds and rooms are clean and the service staff is friendly and professional.
Great value for a wealthy area - they could charge more and still be affordable.
I appreciated their consideration. I hear from staff that the owners are good people who don’t micromanage and treat everyone respectfully.
Diversity in staffing is also a plus.
Near everything, Smart Train & Buses
the tv was modern (wish they remote to the tv was accessible instead of just the DishTV remote, could have used my hdmi device) and bathrooms were nice. could have used a microwave. pool was very nice. ground floor rooms are best with direct access to pool area.
I really like this house . The area is very peaceful and the house is very spacious . You get to experience wild life saw different animals like turkeys . Deers and raccoon my family really love the open nature this house was great love the scenic views
View from room overlooking open space, hills, forest was pleasant and calming. Very little car traffic on road next to hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy access to highway and downtown Novato (even by foot).
The hotel is charming, an older property that has been refurbished. The continental breakfast was good and the pool area was very nice. The location was quite even though it is close to the highway.
Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very polite. I would definitely stay here again if I had the occasion to be in the area and would recommend the hotel to friends and family members.
Excellent location. Great service in the hotel. Very clean. Updated decor in public spaces and rooms. Very pleasant dining area and wonderful restaurant. I will stay here again.
Property much nicer than I expected for a Best Western and front desk staff was super friendly and helpful and attentive which is more than I can say for Sheraton.
It was good to see that economies ( towels, daily cleaning, etc. )were part of the hotel’s operation. The staff were pleasant and accommodating and welcoming.
I loved this hotel. My room was spacious, and the staff were wonderful! I was able to jog to a hiking trail, and even had a bit of a view from my room.
