FAQs about hotels in Istanbul

The Best of Asia and Europe

The city of Istanbul offers a trip unlike any other, encompassing Asian and European cultures to create a heady mix of art, music and food. The amazing Old Town and the Sultanahmet are home to iconic Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia. More history is hidden in the Topkapi Palace, where you can glimpse the splendor and opulence of Turkey’s Ottoman heritage.

Take a stroll through the historic center or the busy Taksim Square before watching the sun set behind countless mosques and minarets. Local fish markets and numerous restaurants lining the bridge to Galata offer the Golden Horn’s daily catch.

If you prefer the fine art of bargaining to fine art, lose yourself in the Grand Bazar and maybe you’ll emerge with a hookah, some Turkish coffee, or even a carpet. The Spice Bazar further immerses you in the sights, smells, and tastes of Turkish culture.

Getting to Istanbul is an easy trip from Ataturk International Airport or Sabiha Gokcen Airport. Whether you want a luxury hotel on the Asian side or a budget hostel in Taksim Square, Booking.com has over 1,000 great accommodations for a vacation in Istanbul.

Amazing city with lots of things to do and watch.

Amazing city with lots of things to do and watch. Lot of sight seeing and food is so good. I have been there before and the only comment is that it became very expensive compared to few years ago. Sight seeing places are now with expensive tickets and food prices increased. Overall, it is a nice city to visit.

Istanbul is an exciting city for families – safe, welcoming, and full of history to explore together. Kids love the mix of sights, smells, and experiences: the sparkling mosaics of Hagia Sophia, feeding pigeons in Sultanahmet Square, exploring the underground Basilica Cistern (like a real-life adventure movie), or taking a ferry ride across the Bosphorus. Families can enjoy both culture and fun in the same trip, with plenty of child-friendly food and open spaces.

    Istanbul is a wonderful city!

Istanbul is a wonderful city! The city of contrasts, of light, of people always going around, a magical town built on two continents. And the Bosphorus... with a life of its own... always full of traffic, of small and big boats crossing... than the princes Islands (Adalar)... definitely worth a one-day trip. The kindness, friendliness, and politeness of people is remarkable, and better than in any other country. And one thing I will never forget... their kindness towards animals, especially cats! In Istanbul cats are part of the community! There are small cat houses everywhere, and plenty of food and water for all the strays. This is something I have never seen before, and it made a big impact on me. And don't forget... Istanbul is also a shopping Paradise and THE place to visit at least once in a life-time!

the whole city is so beautiful, people are nice, helpful. Public transport is very easy. You can get everywhere by yourself. Beautiful buildings, beautiful people! And one more thing- in Istanbul there are cats everywhere, there are places with food, water - all for the cats :) You have to come to Istanbul again and again and again.....

A wonderful city that, for some reason, we had never seriously considered visiting. It turned out to be a truly European city that, in some ways, surpasses even the famous tourist hubs of Europe. We are absolutely thrilled and will definitely try to return. The prices are affordable, there are countless attractions—after all, it’s the Second Rome! The people are incredibly kind and welcoming. And there are plenty of equally fascinating places near Istanbul.

Istanbul, an enchanting city, harmoniously blended ancient and modern architecture. The locals were warm and welcoming, and the cuisine was simply delectable. I highly recommend returning to this captivating city. The Bosphorus tour was an excellent experience, and navigating the city with the helpful signs and Google Maps was easy.

I found this hotel on booking and it was the first time I went to turkey, and it was absolutely amazing. Getting to the hotel was easy because of the subway from airport to the hotel. The hotel location was great, 2 minutes from subway, 3 minutes from tramway, secure place, and you can walk to Beyazit, Sultanahmet. The host Erdogan was helpful. The room was just like in the photos, and cleaning service was available. I would definitely go back to this hotel if I go back to Istanbul.

This property has almost everything one wants during travel. I stayed with my family for 04 nights. we were warmly welcomed and offered best hospitality possible. location is great. Just 02 minutes walk to Taksim Square. everything is nearby for daily life. Hotel manager, Mehmet, is such a nice guy. He arranged a bosphorus cruise dinner trip and airport transfer at very good rate. He offered all kind of assistance wherever required. Highly recommend for stay.

Although this is not a luxury 5 star hotel, it is very clean and comfortable and staff are very helpful. Its a great location - easy to access the buses / metro to the centre and all the historical locations, as well as the ferries. Berhan was also very helpful in helping me to obtain an Istanbul card , to be able to use the metro etc, and advised me about the local area and places to eat, as well as arranged my airport taxi efficiently.
