Note however that the tracks for the tram area being replaced so there is bus service that will get you to the nearest U-Bahn station. It is very easy getting around Grünwald.
It is very easy getting around Grünwald. Especially the nearness of the hotel to public transportation makes it very comfortable to visit down town and from there to other site seeing spots. There are also very nice restaurants and cafes in Grünwald. You can pick from Bavarian cuisine to Indian food. It is at the end of the tram line which runs into Munich. It is about 3 minutes to walk to the tram, further at the other end but by the river and in a nice part of Munich. (We could even swim in the river). The hotel itself is part of an old castle. Eggs were prepared fresh at breakfast.
