Wow amazing time. The staff was so friendly and accomadating. Our dog loved the stay. We recommend getting a room with a patio such a great value and also the pool was gorgeous. The food was a bit repetitive but was overall a good experience. Staff was top and made us very welcome

This place is impeccable! Just beautiful and well designed. The staff is very helpful. The rooms are modern and the beds are super comfortable, I literally did not want to get out of it . The pool area is a luxury getaway and one of the pools is heated ! I would absolutely recommend this hotel. The toiletries smell amazing and it’s neutral, so suitable for any gender.

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely amazing! The room was fantastic, with a stunning view of the sea. The restaurants were great, offering delicious food and excellent service. The overall quality of service throughout our stay was top-notch. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a letter granting us free access to the spa, which was a lovely bonus. Everything was just perfect. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable experience!

The Calmer Side of Lanzarote

Playa Blanca is the newest, and arguably quietest, large resort on Lanzarote, which makes it popular with families. It is partially sheltered from the Atlantic winds by the dormant Montaña Roja volcano, and volcanic rock lines its sandy beaches which are spread around a bay.

There are 3 main beaches: Playa Dorada which is popular for watersports, Playa Blanca – the most peaceful, and Playa Flamingo which is overlooked by shops, bars and restaurants serving locally caught seafood. Further east the long stretches of sand give way to the rocky Papagayo Coves whose beautiful scenery is depicted on many a postcard.

A promenade linking the 3 beaches is lined with luxury hotels and resorts available on Booking.com, many offering all inclusive options and some even have their own water park. There are also lots of cheap apartments and private villas in Playa Blanca, some of which overlook Marina Rubicon. The Castillo de las Colorados watchtower sits on a rugged piece of headland looking across the Atlantic Ocean towards the hilly terrain of Fuerteventura.

Ferries to this neighbouring Canary Island depart from just across the bay and offer beautiful views back across the whitewashed buildings towards the mountains behind Playa Blanca.

    Second visit to Playa Blanca.

    Second visit to Playa Blanca. The last time I visited was 9 years ago and I did think the area had deteriorated slightly - more litter on the streets, empty shops etc. Mainly restaurants in main area very few bars and the bars in the Papagayo centre either closed at 11.30pm or the later opening bars were few and far between. The Marina Rubicon area has improved with the opening of the big new Barcelo hotel and new restaurants etc "underneath" it.

    Playa Blanca is an amazing location.

    Playa Blanca is an amazing location. Close to beaches, shopping and the marina. This location is very accessible (lots of wide sidewalks, and bike paths). There are grocery stores on almost every corner.

    Great choice of restaurants which provide gluten free...

    Great choice of restaurants which provide gluten free options. Good variety of shops and lovely walks in and around the Rubicon Marina area where we stayed for the 3rd time in 6 months. Prefer this to the Faro Park area as it is too far to walk now even though there are regular buses running to and from the area. A trip to the Open Mall at Arrecife is a must as there are lots of nice quality shops there as well as great coffee shops. The Mumbai Masala Indian restaurant at Marina Rubicon is our favourite restaurant for curry and the Buenos Aires is the best steak we have ever had in Lanzarote - both have terrific staff. If you like good coffee with a lovely comfy seat and fab outlook along with great entertainment then head to Oasis at the marina - you will not be disappointed. We would not recommend Lanis as it is overpriced and over rated with very rude staff

    it quiet, breezy great for tanning and not too hot, sand and tles can be very hot, so wear flip flops or similar. the small centre has great restaurants, cafes, small cocktail bars, tapas, great views of the sea everywhere, small shops, great selection, boutiques. a lot of perfume, great sunglasses.

    The hotel is in a beautiful location, there are plenty of restaurants with a wide variety of foods to suit all tastes. Many lovely bars to sit at with again a wide range drinks. There a plenty of pools to sit around and you'll always find a lounger. Staff always ready to greet you and assist with any questions especially at reception. Took a cab ride to the marina, which was 5 mins away again really pretty lots of bars, restaurants and malls for shopping. Overall very happy with our stay and would definitely come again.

    Loved everything about the Villa, it was exactly as described, plenty of space for the six of us. Location was superb, with a couple of little supermarkets, restaurants and bars within a couple of minutes walk. Whilst there were a lot of other Villas near by it was an incredibly quiet location. The main parts of Playa Blanca easily reached in 10-15 minutes on the bus that runs every 30 minutes and the bus stop is right outside the supermarket. Property Manager always very quick to answer any questions.

    Everything, amazing hotel, lovely staff, exceptionally clean and well looked after. Apartment perfect, everything you need and really good quality fixtures and fittings. View of marina and pool. Lots of sunbeds. 2 mins from supermarket. 5 mins from the marina and lovely eating places. Able to walk out of the airport and get the 161 bus straight to the bus station in Playa Blanca. Then walked across the road and got the number 30 bus straight to the hotel. After getting off the bus 10 min walk to hotel.

    This was a beautiful hotel-very clean with pleasant and professional staff. It was located in a quieter area but we enjoyed the walk along the coast to shops snd restaurants. Breakfast offered a good selection. We would stay here again if returning to Playa Blanca.
