The location was fantastic with access to everything in the center of Orvieto. We took advantage of the parking option so our car was close by for the times we needed it. This also made transferring our luggage much easier. Narrow streets and tight corners, (like much of Italy) made entering a bit tricky. Overall, we would stay at Hotel Duomo again!

Hotel La Terraza, Assisi: A Perfect Family Stay Hotel La Terraza in Assisi is an absolute gem. We are a family of four from Argentina (my husband, two kids, and I). We had an exceptional stay, thanks to the kind hospitality and the hotel's many amenities. The hotel is impeccably clean and airy, offering spectacular bedroom views. Breakfast service was excellent, and the location is incredibly convenient, just steps from Assisi's historic center. We loved the immaculate gardens and the beautiful pool. The wellness center is a great bonus. Parking is also available. This hotel is a must-stay in Assisi. We will definitely return!

Orvieto is a beautiful, historic city on a high outcrop. There are some great restaurants, and interesting sites to see. We recommend Al Pozzo Etrusco Di Fabrizio Grilli for excellent local dishes. It's worth booking as it isn't very big. There's a walk around the bottom of the cliff - steep and gravelly in parts, but lovely views.

Beautiful historic town with many restaurants, winding streets, squares In which to sit and people watch. Two Worlds Festival brought lovers of drama, music, opera, ballet and art to the town but didn’t feel too full. However, pre-book accommodation and restaurants near to the venues. Access to centre of Spoleto can be via underground light and airy passageways and travelators if you want to avoid the climb in the heat of the day! Surrounded by beautiful wooded countryside in which to discover hidden gems, waterfalls, lakes and hiking trails.

    Terni is a wonderful city.

Terni is a wonderful city. In my opinion it's a hidden gem of Italy. It's an easy 1-hour train ride from Rome, and on the way to all the northern Italian cities. Terni Centro has almost no cars, so incredibly walking friendly, full of cafes, gelaterias, and pizza. All, with picture book old Italian architecture. Also, Terni really comes alive after 4pm!

We stayed one night. Julia, the hostess, was outstandingly helpful and she spoke very good English. The dinner and breakfast were particularly good. We ate dinner outdoors but in good shade from the evening sun. There is a large swimming pool which has a superb view. I highly recommend Romitorio agriturismo.

If you're religious and want to see Cascia and St Rita's birthplace nearby then come or if interested in art history and St Rita's basilica and monastery next door. If driving it's a nice way to pass a morning or afternoon. Not much else to keep you there but scenery roundabout is stunning! We took a taxi organized by hotel and spent an hour or two around her birthplace village -magical views and you can climb up hill to mountain top church!
