We love this property. We came to 741 hotel for our 22nd anniversary and we decided to come again for 24th cause the staff is amazing from valet to the front counter to staff around the properties. Love the quaint, peaceful quiet area. I will definitely be back again. We also got I want to say pressure point massages. My wife knows the name, but it was great awesome great experience can’t wait to be back. You guys are amazing. Everything was great. You guys made our 24th year anniversary and amazing memory and experience.

I have stayed at Hotel Joaquin multiple times while visiting family in the area. It is always such a pleasure staying here. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. The staff are so friendly and have great suggestions. The breakfast and lunch are excellent (I love having the morning coffee delivered to my room!). They often have music and movies in the evening. Also the location is great. It is within walking distance to the beach, many restaurants as well as downtown Laguna. The vibe is much more intimate and peaceful than larger hotels in the area.

I would give zero stars if I could. This place flat-out scammed us. They charged my card $500 for a “shattered shower door”—something we never broke. We checked out at 10am on Sunday, left our ID when borrowing beach supplies, and returned everything around 2pm. The manager said nothing. At 6:45pm, we suddenly get a call from the night manager Patrick saying Yolanda told him to hit us with a $500 charge. When we left, my wife actually spoke with Yolanda directly and she never mentioned a thing. Now the story has changed—today they’re claiming we broke a toilet seat. For the record, the lid was loose when we arrived, but it was NOT broken and didn’t affect us, so we didn’t bother reporting it. The shifting excuses are laughable. First a shattered shower door, then a broken toilet seat? Which is it? In decades of travel, I’ve never experienced anything like this. It’s shady, inconsistent, and feels like a cash grab. These people come across as scam artists. Save yourself the headache and stay far, far away.

    Amazing city with lots of restaurants, shops, and gorgeous beach. AFter a wonderful dinner at Las Brisas, we went to the Pageant of the Masters which is so amazing. Love to go back in off season when its not so crowded, but in season one can take advantage of the trolley and avoid driving in the traffic. Parking is a big challenge in Laguna! Always a family favorite with lots of fond memories.

    Crescent Bay felt slightly secluded and really nice. Numerous shops and restaurants, though we enjoyed dinner at Driftwood Kitchen so much, we returned for breakfast (great pancakes, coffee and sausage)

    I will definitely stay at 14 West (North building) again.

    I will definitely stay at 14 West (North building) again. My favorite place for breakfast is Cafe Heidelberg, just down the street. For dinner, we love "230 Forest"... absolutely the best restaurant! Also great is Las Brisas. Reservations are a must, especially during the touristy season. Don't miss going to Crystal Cove State Park, a little north on PCH 1. Only down side about Laguna is that it has become quite popular and a bit touristy, but I still love it and will never stop going!

    We stayed at the art hotel in Laguna where you could walk or take the trolley to downtown/main beach. It was so much fun and we ate at a lot of good food places like the deck, las brisas and the taco stand. It’s about a 20-30 minute drive to either Newport or Dana point so it’s the perfect vacation location!

    We have loved Laguna Beach for years.

    We have loved Laguna Beach for years. When we lived in California it was often our go to place for restaurants, beautiful walks and snorkeling. Now that we live in the east coast, we always try to go to Laguna when we visit family in California. The downtown area has great restaurants, boutiques and art galleries. The walk along the coast is absolutely beautiful. Laguna is very much like European beaches because of its atmosphere. There is a large range of hotels from affordable motels to totally luxurious which makes the city available to everyone. In the summer and before Christmas there are arts festivals with very talented artists, crafts people, glass blowing demos, children's activities, live music, food, beer and wine.

    Easy walking access to what we thought was the most beautiful beach in Laguna (we saw about 10). Very friendly manager. Good beds. Blackout curtains. One of the less expensive options in town. There is a free trolley service to town and the other beaches at about 5 minutes walking distance - very convenient. Laguna Beach was definitely one of the highlights of our California road trip.

    The hotel was great with the patio and the terrace. We had a welcome wine on the rooftop which was great and they offered us (for free) the opportunity to use the swimming pool and jacuzzi of the hotel just next to it which was super easy and great too. The staff was super friendly and the room was great!

    The hotel is in a great location, just a 5 minute walk across the road to the beach and also within walking distance to a supermarket and the main beach. The room was spacious, comfortable and had its own equipped kitchenette which was a great touch! The staff were extremely friendly & welcoming also.
