At par with other JR hotels, the Kokura station JR hotel offers steady quality and reliability for a reasonable price. Though small, our room was immaculately clean, practical, stylish and comfortable. Special thanks to the highly professional and courteous staff who offered valuable help at a time where trains were totally suspended in the region due to massive flooding.

    This is a small town but perfect for conference or a few day escape from routine trip. Some attractions like shrines, few hiking trails and a railway museum are around. Finally Fukuoka is just 15 away by Shinkansen. And this town has its small but charming airport!

    Kokura Castle in the evening during Cherry Blossom season...

    Kokura Castle in the evening during Cherry Blossom season was magical. Kokura Zoo is great. Slot car racing at Hunaudieres in Aruaru City was fabulous! Kitakyūshū Peace Museum is not to be missed, everyone should be required to experience this incredible place. Same goes for the Kitakyūshū Museum of Natural History! Lunch at the Kitakyushu City Central Library Cafe was perfect for the price.

    We visit Kitakyushu every year because we have family...

    We visit Kitakyushu every year because we have family members living there. I love Kitakyushu because of how peaceful and less crowded it is and I know the place more than the other cities in Japan. Kitakyushu also has a lot of local tourist spots that can be reached if you rent a car or by bus/train.

    First off. This hotel could have easily been an 8 or 9 hadn’t it been for a couple of major issues (see below). Amazing location, directly connected to the station and 10-minute walk from Kokura Castle. Tanga Market and a host of eateries, bars and shops. Room size was very large and the room looked clean (see more below). Hotel buffet was satisfactory (nothing to write home about) and checkout was speedy. I think we made the most of the amazing location of the hotel.

    The room is pretty big, with a perfect location with a short walk to Kokura station. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. Bathtub is quite big compared to other hotels in japan. Love it so much. Would recommend anyone about this hotel and definitely will stay here again in the future.

    Great place, I got really amazed by the hotel, it was very cozy and confortable for the price, and it was really easy to get from the train station to there. The room is the avarage size for japanese hotels but it was really nice, just a little old but i don't mind that. Great deal.

    A quirky hotel with a huge library of manga for you to borrow. Bread (baked fresh on the premises), udon and curry all available seemingly 24 hours a day. A coin laundry on site.
