The location was fine, for my purposes, which were to get into the path of totality for the eclipse. Staff were pleasant although they didn't go out of their way to offer help.

The staff was awesome. Super welcoming and informative. They also provide a brochure with nearby food, stores, attractions and so on. The cabin was private with its own exterior door. Bed was very comfortable and the blanket was soft and warm without being hot. Great time all around.
Garfield's Grand View is located in Bethlehem, just 18 miles from Franconia Notch State Park and 27 miles from Alpine Adventures. This vacation home provides a garden.

Automatic generator during a power outage. The facility was very clean and comfortable.

My husband and I stayed in the Double standard room because we like having two beds. It was pretty big and had a dorm size refrigerator and microwave but there were no chairs or table you could sit on to eat. Also no coffee maker. My daughter stayed with her family in the family room and it was spacious with a queen bed , a pull out couch and kitchenette with apartment size appliances. It had four chairs with the kitchen table and two chairs near the couch so there was plenty of seating for all. We spent most of time in that room since we ordered take out at Lancaster house of pizza, Smokey T bbq and the Polish princessBskery. I recommend all of those places! Also if you are a fairly large person you will want the bigger bathroom and tub. The standard room had an Rv sized bathroom which was a tight fit! I like a motel because you can park right outside your room making it easier to transport luggage and kids. I think each room has two chairs outside plus there were plenty of picnic tables if the weather is good. There is a grassy area just off the family room side where kids can run. The Lobby is a cute retro 50s look and there was a cocktail bar and humidor which we did not visit. The breakfast was OK but go early because there were fewer choices and they were low on stuff( like milk) when I waited until after 9:00. The town was very close and quaint and there is a pretty covered bridge to visit and an old fashioned movie theater.

Room was alright, a bit bare bones. the fridge and microwave was on the floor, the microwave must have been old because it didn't work particularly well. The bathroom is outdated. The toilet and sink was small. the heating and AC is archaic and does not work well at all. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Breakfast was continental style, with very few options, but adequate. The coffee and tea is available in the lobby all the time which I really enjoyed. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
If you're looking for more breakfast/brunch nearby, I recommend the Polish Princess bakery for more coffee and breakfast options.

Cute downtown and great location between the White Mountains and Vermont. Great beer and food at the Copper Pig Brewery, awesome baked goods at Polish Princess Bakery. Easy to get around with free parking downtown. Close to a State Park and covered bridge.

Much of the downtown is well preserved 100+ year old buildings, some with a little bit extra historic charm.
Downtown traffic can be a sport to watch.
Public safety (police, fire, ambulance) leaves you with a secure feeling.
The hospital from the outside looks like it is badly in need of an update / expansion. Can an ambulance if you need one, finding the hospital is not so obvious.
There are very few vacant building and houses in the town compared to other town / cities I have been to in the state.
You get a feeling of the community pride strolling up and downtown the many blocks and side streets of town.
I would like to come back in another year. Mom 94 year old mom thought we were at the end of the world and was glad to get home.

Took to long to get somewhere , everything was far away, great if you have children story land ,Santa village, six gun city was not far away for them. Didn't have a favorite , not many places to eat ,getting around was difficult nothing close by , we were not a young couple but we still had fun . I guess if I had to pick out one site we enjoyed it was MT. Washington.

Lancaster has plenty of places to eat including McDonalds and Dunkin Donuts. Nice places to stay that are close to Santa's Village, Storyland, and Mt. Washington. We stayed at Cabot Inn and Suites and loved it. The continental breakfast was great.
This property has a very cool mid century feel to it. The location cannot be beat it is downtown close to restaurants and entertainment venues. The gas fireplaces outside was exactly what my family needed to both celebrate the marriage of our niece at the same time we were grieving the loss of my brother. The kindness of Brian and Jackie was extraordinary. Although it lacks some of the amenities of the larger hotels in the area, it makes up for it and location and charm.
I liked the location of the Inn, right in downtown Lancaster and within walking distance of shops. I love the staff, they are always glad to see me and they are quick to address any issues I might have. I gave lower marks this time for cleanliness and facilities only because they are in the process of installing new furniture throughout the Inn and there were boxes laying about. Normally the Coos Inn is spotless. Due to COVID, the continental breakfast is not available.
I really liked the location. It was walking distance to everything. It was reasonably priced & I liked the Compass Rose lounge. The owners were very friendly & accomodating. I liked that they want to restore the Lancaster Motel & give back to the community. I grew up in Lancaster & my grandparents had their 50th wedding anniversary in that motel in the 60's. So it has a lot of memories.
The location of the Lancaster Motel was perfect. It was close to town, so we could walk right to restaurants and shops. The staff was excellent! They even sent us a bouquet of flowers for our 30th wedding anniversary. This was a little get away to enjoy this special celebration.
the owners Brian and Ruby were the utmost nicest hosts a person could meet when travelling through. the motel lounge is funky, quaint - then throw in the speak-easy styled cigar lounge - it’s all fun. located smack centre of Lancaster - perfect!
Excellent location only 10-15 minutes away from Santa's Village. The hotel is clean, well presented and quiet despite being next to the road. The rooms are warm - didn't even need to turn the heater on despite it being about 32F outside.
Everything was prepared well and it was clean and comfortable. The Wi-Fi was incredibly strong, that seems like an odd thing to point out but more often than not Wi-Fi is a total crapshoot in hotels.
