The hotel was very clean and well kept. Our room was very clean, we had plenty of hot water, water pressure was great, and it was very quiet. The pool and gym were both very clean, plenty of towels, equipment in working order, etc. The breakfast had plenty of options for every type of diet/taste and far exceeded our expectations. The complementary dog treats, waters and coffee were a great added touch. Staff was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the area.

Wonderful time.
Wonderful time. Beautiful scenery and great local resturants. Make sure to take time and walk around downtown Boone. Visit the campus of Appalachian State University. Take a short drive to Shops on the Parkway in Blowing Rock. Make sure to have lunch or dinner at Pepper's in Boone. You won't be disappointed.Bullock - 10Scored 10

We've been to this area a couple of times over the years,...
We've been to this area a couple of times over the years, and tend to go back as we really like the area. It is close to an entrance for the Blue Ridge Parkway, with an overlook just a few minutes down the road. The restaurants are good, but Dan'l Boone Inn is an absolute must every time we are in the area. There are plenty of small hiking trails, and waterfalls, to see.AAnonymous - 6.0Scored 6.0
There isn't much to review.
There isn't much to review. I made a reservation at the Holiday Inn because they had an indoor pool, and brought a 12-year old up so we could swim and have a good time. However, when we arrived, the hotel said the pool was 'under maintenance' and not available. A wasted 2.5 hour trip.

Boone is a great town.
Boone is a great town. Clean, orderly, with plenty facilities, hotels, restaurants, good roads and friendly people. But terrible traffic too many cars and aggressive drivers. Beautiful area, best kept secret in NC. I love Boone, Blowing Rock, GF mountain, Tweetsee rr and small towns. Great environment.Colonel

The property was immaculate and updated! Even my teenager was impressed! The rooms were spacious and beds were incredibly comfortable! The complimentary breakfast was great! Centrally located near an abundance of restaurants and stores. Close distance to downtown Boone. Plenty of parking and check in was a breeze! Staff was incredibly present and helpful with any questions or issues that we had.

We drove up there for the snow (up to 6 inches predicted), we only got a few flurries, not the hotel's fault), but it was relaxing there.

We used the hot tub and pool table, watched movies at night, and had family game nights at the large kitchen table. The house was up a hill but close to Boone's main street, so there were a lot of restaurant options and shopping for whatever we needed.
