The hotel was very clean and well kept. Our room was very clean, we had plenty of hot water, water pressure was great, and it was very quiet. The pool and gym were both very clean, plenty of towels, equipment in working order, etc. The breakfast had plenty of options for every type of diet/taste and far exceeded our expectations. The complementary dog treats, waters and coffee were a great added touch. Staff was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the area.

We were there to see the school. It was great. Surrounding area nice, interesting non-chain options for dining, which we appreciated. Weird that a main street runs right through the middle of campus, but enjoyed and would like to go back to Boone. It snowed on 5 April!

We've been to this area a couple of times over the years, and tend to go back as we really like the area. It is close to an entrance for the Blue Ridge Parkway, with an overlook just a few minutes down the road. The restaurants are good, but Dan'l Boone Inn is an absolute must every time we are in the area. There are plenty of small hiking trails, and waterfalls, to see.

There isn't much to review.
There isn't much to review. I made a reservation at the Holiday Inn because they had an indoor pool, and brought a 12-year old up so we could swim and have a good time. However, when we arrived, the hotel said the pool was 'under maintenance' and not available. A wasted 2.5 hour trip.

Boone is a great town.
Boone is a great town. Clean, orderly, with plenty facilities, hotels, restaurants, good roads and friendly people. But terrible traffic too many cars and aggressive drivers. Beautiful area, best kept secret in NC. I love Boone, Blowing Rock, GF mountain, Tweetsee rr and small towns. Great environment.
I brought my daughter to Boone for her 15th birthday and Graystone did not disappoint!! The property was immaculate and updated! Even my teenager was impressed! The rooms were spacious and beds were incredibly comfortable! The complimentary breakfast was great! Centrally located near an abundance of restaurants and stores. Close distance to downtown Boone. Plenty of parking and check in was a breeze! Staff was incredibly present and helpful with any questions or issues that we had.
We liked the hotel very much, location was good. The breakfast on Saturday morning was excellent and went back on Sunday morning and it was not near as good as the previous morning, maybe leftover gravy?? The lobby was very nice with a large fireplace, we sat there and had our coffee, very relaxing. We drove up there for the snow (up to 6 inches predicted), we only got a few flurries, not the hotel's fault), but it was relaxing there.
Property sits on a busy street, easy to find, across from a mall with a couple of restaurants very near. The street side of hotel can be a bit loud.
Breakfast is a festival of every carb wrapped in plastic as well as some fresh fruit (in plastic) and yogurt. (This i was not told of until after booking a no cancel room). Room was comfy an clean. Has outside porch to sit on to eat if you wish
We enjoyed the quiet nights (even though there were close houses) sitting around the firepit. We used the hot tub and pool table, watched movies at night, and had family game nights at the large kitchen table. The house was up a hill but close to Boone's main street, so there were a lot of restaurant options and shopping for whatever we needed.
The villa was large enough to accommodate our large extended family. It was close to Boone. The view was awesome. The beds were comfortable and there were bathrooms connected to all rooms. My wife loved the large kitchen. The kids loved the yard and the visiting deer.
I had great time at this hotel. It was relaxing thanks to the spacious and clean room, amenities in very good condition and comfy bathroom. The place is quiet and close (by car) to Shenandoah National Park. Breakfast is bouffet with sweet and savoury options.
Staff were all very friendly. The wifi was great and there was no connecting or reconnecting each day which was wonderful. Housekeeping was offered every day and that was good as well. This hotel was near the attractions we wanted to see.
Loved the hotel and the staff was amazing and so friendly. Will definitely be back. The pool could've been a little warmer, but it was fairly comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and one of the best varieties I've seen.
We have stayed here before and really love the style of the hotel and how close it is to everything. We also really like that there is no extra charge for our dog to stay. It is very clean and comfortable too.
The comfort, size and cleanliness of the room. The staff was also very welcoming and helpful. The rooftop bar was fun. The location of the hotel was central to everything in downtown Boone.
I was traveled for skiing and the hotel location was right. My room was on the first floor, quiet, nothing bothered me.
I liked waffles for breakfast, coffee and some tea in the room.
Tastefully renovated old motel, with great design features and comfortable rooms. A 45 minute walk into Boone & university campus. Great to sit by fire pit in the evening with a drink.
