Great location, nicely furnished , very clean and warm and welcoming staff. Room was spacious and very quiet. A home away from home with a full kitchen - built in fridge well stocked with dish-ware and cooking utensils. Nice fitness room and dry sauna. Shout out to Gillian, Tanya and Josh as well as the rest of the team at reStays for making us feel so welcomed.

    Disappointed that Ottawa Parliament was under massive...

    Disappointed that Ottawa Parliament was under massive construction. We enjoyed ByWay Market, the food and the bakery. Loved the changing of the guard and the parade before. The people in Ottawa are very friendly and try to help us find our way around the city. We booked our tickets from home to tour the Senate and the East Block guided tours and the Immersive Experience. These were all free tours, we just needed to book them when we did - before our trip from home.

    Very nice location. Many shops and restaurants in area. Just off the 417 and over the bridge from where the Senators play. 20 minutes to downtown. Visited the Nordic Spa in Quebec. It was 30 minutes away and worth the trip. It's an outdoors relaxation area with 7 cold and warming pools, a salt water oasis and spa treatments.

    There was a strong sewer smell in the second floor hallway. Our 1st room was awful but the next one was an upgrade for sure. Ken was very nice at the check-in and for our messy room ordeal. The breakfast and breakfast lady was awesome. It was included with the room and there was a big selection of option for a continental breakfast. It was a really nice stay...if the pool would of not been broken our stay would of been close to perfect. Also there was a little area across the road with different restaurant, lcbo, winners, arden.

    The location was great related to where we needed to be but...

    The location was great related to where we needed to be but there were far too many issues. Essentially on the surface, the Riverrock seems nice enough but the staff appears not to care. We had issues with the internet and TV only working intermittently. The door lock was glitchy, the window, once opened, would not close, no hot water and the breakfast was extremely basic. Unfortunately, it's the only hotel in the area.

    Difficult to navigate, too many one ways, and lots of "no left" turns . We had booked the Ottawa boat cruise , but due to this issue could not find the dock, missed the boat and no refund for that. Next time...take uber !!

    The hotel was close to the Canadian Tire Center which was...

    The hotel was close to the Canadian Tire Center which was where our concert was being held. It was clean and although the line up was very long upon checking in, the staff was efficient and very friendly. Will definitely stay there again.

    I loved Rockland for the fact that it is close to the Ottawa...

    I loved Rockland for the fact that it is close to the Ottawa River and close to the city for travelling. Nice parks near the river where you can picnic and walk along the marina. It is much quieter than the city, clean as well, and all services I needed were in the town. At this time of year (end of August) all the fresh markets were open. Everyone was friendly and helpful and happy people! There are a few places to visit close to Rockland however, with Covid they were closed. Still, one can just relax and walk on the main street and or by the water with family and friends.

    Depending on personal tastes, consider the following: 1) Tour Parliament 2) Visit the Museum of Canadian History 3) Visit the National Gallery We used the Hop-On/Hop-Off bus, which was a great way to see the city without a car. We also tried the Ottawa River cruise. Comparing both, we felt that we saw more on the Hop-On/Hop-Off bus. Eat at Milestones Restaurant's outdoor courtyard--great menu and service.
