Room was good sized, not cramped. We actually liked that the room wasn't carpeted, and the shower space and pressure was excellent! Their breakfast is great, too, definitely a good start especially if you're prepping for hiking activity. IMO their included breakfast outshines every other place I've stayed.

Location was perfect, right on the river. Easy access to town and Rocky Mountain National Park. The room was spacious, comfy bed, spa tub with amazing hot water. Lots of privacy. The only minor complaint was the sprinklers soaking our deck one morning that delayed our coffee time just a bit. Overall a wonderful stay!

We originally had reservations at an establishment 1/4 mile down the road. We were not happy with 2 of their rooms, so we requested a refund and rebooked with Best Western. It was a much nicer room, but more than anything, it was CLEAN! Thank you for providing an excellent stay. Keep all your staff well compensated/rewarded and keep them!

    I have to be honest—my experience here was heartbreaking.

    I have to be honest—my experience here was heartbreaking. The entire city showed me and my family an ugly side of racism that no one should ever have to endure. From the way we were treated, it was clear that being Black made us unwelcome in ways that were both blatant and deeply painful. What was supposed to be a time of peace and enjoyment turned into a constant reminder that some places still hold on to hate and prejudice. I truly wish I could have cut our stay shorter, and if Denver had been closer, I certainly would have. Needless to say, I will never return here, and I would strongly discourage any Black person from visiting. This was not just disappointing—it was sad, dehumanizing, and something no family should have to go through in 2025.

    This town is adorable!

    This town is adorable! It is so picturesque with a river running through it. Lots of restaurants, shops and activities. Go up to Prospect mountain via the tram, check out The Stanley hotel and of course, visit Rocky Mountain national park!

    We loved this cute town tucked away in the Rocky Mountains.

    We loved this cute town tucked away in the Rocky Mountains. We loved seeing the Elk walking around. We loved eating breakfast at the Egg in town. It was an easy drive from Denver. We loved walking around Estes Lake and Bear Lake. We took a 12 day tour into the mountains and loved it!

    How can one not like a place situated in the most beautiful...

    How can one not like a place situated in the most beautiful scenery in the world? The sound of the rivers, the height of the mountains. We ate a "You Need Pie" once. It was wonderful. The many stores allow for an afternoon of wandering and deciding of what flavor ice cream to eat. Estes Park has streamlined traffic flow making it quite easy to navigate. The Park provides the wonders of nature of any urbanite to absorb.

    Estes Park was cute.

    Estes Park was cute. It was your typical gift shops and restaurants. I was here to go to Rocky Mountain National Park. I did walk around the town for about an hour but quickly grew tired of the gift shops all selling the same things.

    The time we spent at the cabin was such a delightful stay. From the communication of the owner to the outstanding cleanliness and the early morning songs coming from the Hummingbirds. At night the stars can be seen, beautiful Awesome!! Just a perfect distance from the main highlights of downtown Estes park and wanting a quiet serene. I can't forget the pool table that was so much FUN.. haven't played in a long time.Truly recommend staying at the Cabin on the River. Will go again.

    this is a nice small hotel with all amenities including coffee machine, fridge! very clean! good hearty breakfasts in a pleasant lounge with panoramic windows and a beautiful view. despite the proximity to the road very quiet place. convenient location, right behind the hotel there is a elks park and very early in the morning deer walk right in the parking lot.

    Amazing not so little cabin in a very convenient and quiet location in Estes Park. Decor is dated but that’s part of the charm! Lots of space, great views and plenty of parking. The only downside was the comfort of the beds….they are lumpy with troughs and could use with a replacement.
