- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 1,747 reviewsMy wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Excelsior Palace in Rapallo. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and smiles. The service was excellent, our room was clean, and the view was breathtaking. The hotel is in a fantastic location; within just a few minutes, we found ourselves in the city centre, enjoying a lovely walk. There is plenty of outdoor and underground parking, which was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel. Everything else turned out to be a delightful bonus.Guest review byCosminNetherlands

Also no one complained about the noises my son made. The stuff and animators were exceptionally attentive and supportive. Shallow swimming pool worked very well for us. Genova is an interesting city.
Genova is an interesting city. Now, you can find lots of info on the internet, so I will not repeat. What I find interesting about Genova is the upper parts of it (up hill) and those areas outside the Old Town and the port - those two are nice but classic touristy places. I would like to go back to the city for a longer time, to have time to explore those "real city" areas.Guest review byMilosAustria - 10.0

It is more practical to stay in La Spezia especially if you have luggages to drag along - in CInque Terre, stairs, narrow steps and steep slopes are really challenging to do with baggage. There are wider range of options of food in La Spezia, and considerably cheaper than the ones in Cinque Terre. It is also so convenient to travel from La Spezia to the towns of Cinque Terre.Guest review bySue AnnAustralia - 10.0
The perfect city!
The perfect city! Small enough to discover in its entirety, large enough to keep you busy and interested in all its beauty. Music is abundant everywhere in Sanremo. There is no bad food or drink. Excellent value too. A really warm character.Guest review byGiacomoCanada - 10.0
Monterosso al Mare is kept very clean and we felt safe.
Monterosso al Mare is kept very clean and we felt safe. Nice walking paths and many restaurants and shops to see. Even though it is a beach town, you don't see many children. It's more of a romantic adult getaway spot. Restaurants are small and most seating is on the patio. Many cannot accommodate strollers or parties greater than 4.Guest review byTerryUnited States - 10.0
Rapallo is a lovely town, with great facilities.
Rapallo is a lovely town, with great facilities. We used it as a hub to travel by public transport to the places we wanted to visit. We went by ferry to Portofino (or bus, if the weather stops the ferries running) and by train to Genoa, Pisa and Cinque Terre.Guest review bymarie0812Australia - 10.0
We loved the beach which was directly across the road.
We loved the beach which was directly across the road. We ate at the beach and it was good food. We mostly stayed at the beach most of the day and we appreciated the parking at the hotel. We loved playing in the water and just relaxing at the beach for the day. The hotel was a convenient location and was very clean and the host was very friendly and helpful.Guest review byNathan - 10.0
Lovely town with many shops, restaurants and plenty to do.
Lovely town with many shops, restaurants and plenty to do. The beach and the sea looked very inviting even in winter! Easy to walk around and we found it very easy to visit nearby towns using trains which are reasonably priced and comfortable. Not easy to park near the centre, but there are several car parks for a reasonable hourly rate.Guest review byClaudiaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Perfect place to stay if you want to visit Portofino. Relaxed and laidback. Promenade with lots of restaurants. Great beach. Ferry or bus to other villages. Feels Italian, not as pricey and touristy as Portofino.Guest review byNiclasSweden - 10.0

I really enjoyed the beach at levanto and the night life was exciting, every evening the had organised some kind of a event . The most exciting part was the bicycle ride along the galerie levanto- bonassola. Also the punta della madonna ( chiesetta madonnino della punta ) was reachable with a cycle. Anyone should walk along ( hike) through the sentiero levanto- monterosso.Guest review byRashen IsurangaItaly - 10.0
Savona is a port and has an attractive harbour and old town.
Savona is a port and has an attractive harbour and old town. The ceramics museum here is one of the best. There are lots of good places to eat, and it is also not far to go along the coast to the Ligurian Riviera, with all that this has to offer. It is very easy to get around Savona on foot.Guest review byMarianneFrance
