Fantastic location; we were able to walk from the ferry with our luggage in tow. Easy walk to grocery store and restaurants too. The large soaking tub in the bedroom overlooking the Coral Sea was a special treat! Open floor plan with large, well-equipped kitchen and couches. TWO patios overlooking the water.

It was clean, tidy, well equipped and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and the deck and it was just minutes from the ferry and supermarket , a very convenient location. The owner was easy to contact and quick to respond.

It’s a place much loved by the owner/operator. We enjoyed the natural environment Dandaloo in. They have really good shower and free laundry is quite handy. Close to Arcadia hotel where they hold special road race every Wednesday

Windspray was a great location - right next to the bus stop explore Magnetic Island, and only 10 minutes to walk to Horseshoe Bay where the beach and restaurants were, which was perfect. It was great having my own space including kitchen, living area and bathroom area - although I spent most of my time out and about exploring the island! My hosts Catherine and David were extremely communicative, welcoming and accommodating - giving me tips for the local area including where to eat, where to watch sunrise/sunset and where to go for the markets on Sunday - all of which was helpful as I was on holiday solo. I would definitely recommend Windspray and will 100% stay here again the next time I visit Magnetic Island.

This was a lovely little studio with fully equipped kitchenette. The patio had table/chairs and was a good place to watch the local birds. While the double bed was a little small for us, the couch was effectively a single bed and very comfortable. The location was close to both walking tracks and great restaurants. We had a very comfortable stay!

    Loved the area.

    Loved the area. Felt a very secluded part of the island, so we just loved that. Beautiful right on the beachfront. No road in front, completely relaxing, felt very different than other parts of the island.

    We did the Hawkins Bay walk very steep need good fitness but the view was very rewarding once you reached the top. The Jetty is great both day and the lights are lovely at night time. We ate at the R & R hotel great meals beautiful fish tank and the service was great too. Also you must visit the Museum.

    Picnic Bay is very quiet and peaceful.

    Picnic Bay is very quiet and peaceful. The jetty was busy with fishermen on the weekend but quiet otherwise. Not many food options and very few shops. I’m glad we had our car to travel over to other areas.

    Picnic Bay is the quieter end of Magnetic Island with a lovely beach lots of birdlife and well cared for Mall area filled with shaded seating areas , magnificent Fig trees and a hotel which serves good food with bright cheerful service. There are other options for meals and more to be found in the other bay areas and the local bus service will take to all the beauty spots on the Island. If you want a relaxing holiday Picnic Bay is an excellent choice.

    We had a wonderful three-night stay at Rosalita in Picnic Bay on Magnetic Island. The house was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed with everything we needed. Rod was a fantastic host—very welcoming, helpful, and incredibly knowledgeable about the island, which made our stay even better. We especially enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and relaxing vibe of the island. It was great having local restaurants and the brewery just a short stroll away. A perfect spot for a quiet getaway—highly recommended!

    Good value for money and nice chill vibe. Louie the hostel dog is very cute! Rooms have good AC and kitchens are well equipped. Good WiFi. Super close to picnic bay and make sure to go visit Yallambee the koala just behind the hostel!
