Hobart is a perfect location for a long weekend .
Hobart is a perfect location for a long weekend . It’s very relaxing , the food choice is excellent and the harbour area is great to explore . My only problem is walking up the hills . It’s hard in my old legs . We used Ubers a lot and they were around $6 a trip . Very friendly Uber drivers .Guest review byBeverleyAustralia - 8.0
Liked the location and large rooms.
Liked the location and large rooms. Water pressure fabulous. Didn't like that it is not sound proof. Was hard to sleep at night because you could hear room beside and noise from hallway Beds just okayGuest review byCheryl JohnsonAustralia - 8.0

It is a special place but visitors need to know that there are no additional facilities there. Ensure you have a full tank of petrol and purchase some goodies to take with you because once you are there you are a "trapped" audience. Prices are high and variety is not great.Guest review byHarvey - 10.0

Stayed at Beachfront which was great value for money, central location, within walking distance to most attractions. We ate at Food & Brew for lunch & the iconic Lobster Shack for dinner, with some afternoon beers at the newly opened Bicheno Beer Co cellar door. The blowhole is a short walk or easily accessible by a short car drive. Beautiful seaside town with lots to offer, definitely recommend staying a night or two.Guest review byDamienAustralia - 10.0
Everything about St Helens was beautiful.
Everything about St Helens was beautiful. We really wish we could have stayed alot longer. We had breakfast at the The Lifebuoy Cafe which was awesome!!! Everyone absolutely loved the breakfast (5 stars) and excellent coffee. We also loved visiting the Bay of Fires and found this lovely beach "Squeaky Beach". This place is a must visit for people touring TasmaniaGuest review byMacdonald - 10.0

We have walked the Wineglass Bay route previously (recommend) and this time we decided to try the Pennicott cruise. The cruise was fantastic and I highly recommend. All crew members were great and the meal provided in the standard ticket was generous and delicious. The onboard drinks/snacks were also reasonably priced. We visited in June and we were lucky enough to see whales as well as seals on our journey. Freycinet Lodge was lovely for sundowners.Guest review byBeverleyAustralia - 8.0

Born in Stanley, raised in Burnie.......what's not to love about the NW coast! My advice is to Google youtube for videos of people driving around Burnie and nearby towns. There are many videos to choose from. Visitors note how the pace of living in Tasmania is more relaxed than Mainland states, and the citizens are warm and welcoming. Enjoy!Guest review byDavid - 10.0
You need a full day.
You need a full day. The cruise is included in the entry and very informative. You can book various tours and take a walk around by yourself. For those with mobility problems a free buggy will take you to various sites. Some places have steps. There is a great cafe that sells hot or cold food and drinks a gift shop ad a dining room for nght time meals. There is a lovely Cafe and museum at the lunatic asylum along with restrooms. Make sure you have your camera ready as some beautiful birds throughout. Wear comfy shoes and be prepared for quick change in weather. overall it is a very great insight in the harsh conditions convicts endured. Enjoy.Guest review byCherylAustralia - 10.0
Motel Strahan was a great find.
Motel Strahan was a great find. The cabins was warm and comfortable, and the staff were helpful with tips about the best places to eat, etc. Unfortunately, the boat tour on MacQuarie Harbour was not available on the one full day we stayed in Strahan, but using that time to travel on the West Coast Wilderness Railway made up for that disappointment. The trip to Teepookana was a great experience, and well worth every penny. Strahan is a real 'get away from it all' town, and we look forward to coming back again in the future.Guest review byEricAustralia
