I thought that I had booked a room but I had accidentally booked an adventure. The hotel has a planetarium and an observatory with the second largest telescope in Kyushu. You get a planetarium show and an actual telescope experience. Plus, they take you outside for sky gazing, a campfire and hot drinks ( including muled wine).

Liked everything. Better than some five star properties I have stayed in. Wonderful staff, comfortable beds, a private onsen with a beautiful view and meals you want to livestream. This is a really special property.

    The owners were exceptionally lovely, I arrived when it was a bit dark, but she quickly responded to my message about my arrival and helped me get to the property. Also their generosity and kindness were amazing despite me being a little lost in my Japanese understanding. Stay was comfortable with a great view of the mountains greeting you as you woke up. I would definitely recommend staying here, probably arriving a little before the sun sets as the small streets can be a little confusing if you take the wrong route.
