Have been here 4 times now, everytime its just a great place to stay, location is great, the rooms are comfortable and spacious and you have everything you need, breakfast is one fo the best I've had, food in genreal is really good. Staff here are very friendly and will do anything for you. Can't wait to go back.

Nice village, not much there but easy to get to all the places we visited. Lindisfarne, Bamburgh, Alnwick, seahouses to name but a few. The black bull inn is a fabulous pub and restaurant. Delicious food and the rooms are beautiful.

A beautifil wee village with 2 very good pub / restaurarants at either end. A great spot to decamp and strike out to Bamburgh or some of the other glorious spots in this beautiful part of the country. It's one of those places you'd think too good too not keep secret! Staff were absolutely fantastic Lorna was so sweet and nothing was too much trouble made our stay so lovely. Our room was very large and comfortable and being in the village was quiet. The walk in shower was excellent, however the shower tray was very slippery and needs a bath mat - we used a towel. Both our evening meals and breakfasts were excellent. The hotel staff were really good and extremely helpful. Excellent wifi connection. This hotel was very Corvid 19 compliant. Room was lovely (Lilburn) and one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in. All staff were lovely and friendly. Breakfast was plentiful, hot and lots of choice. Everywhere was clean. Will definitely stay here again!
