If you're travelling to Iquitos, you're not there for Iquitos. You're there for the Amazon forest that lies beyond. If you have the money, stay at Treehouse Lodge. It's actually reasonable for what you get. All inclusive, your own private guide, excellent food, 2 to 3 private tours of your choosing, into the rainforest. And you stay high in the rainforest in a room built near the top of a living tree, hundreds of years old.

I’m glad I went to Iquitos I always wanted to see the Amazon River the food was good in Iquitos I wouldn’t recommend more than 5 day’s there I stayed 7 a little to long for me would I go back probably not I enjoyed the jungle but would go a different city in Lorento the people around Plaza de Armas are a little to pushy for me to take there tours I would say no and they would persist I was impressed with the amount of people who spoke English very well I might add my Spanish is good though

I really didn't liked Iquitos, spend the night there and it was a night too much. the small city is very loud and full of smoke from the moto taxi.
Every place without price tag feels like it try to rip you off.
Street fruits are good (the pineapple was amazing)

The King Suite was really big and the food was very tasty.
The King Suite was really big and the food was very tasty. We booked a massage which was wonderful and the pool is the best in Iquitos. It was just what we needed after a great adventure in the jungle.

Iquitos is amazing.
Iquitos is amazing. The jungle is some of the richest forests in the world. While the city can appear dirty and poor to some, I found beauty and a real charm to the people and the hustle and bustle of motorbikes and tuk tuks.

We stayed at Kokopeli hostel and it was great!
We stayed at Kokopeli hostel and it was great! They only accept soles so make sure you have cash. Location was nice but no meals included. The jungle tour was incredible and I stayed at a bungalo without cell service, so it was nice to unplug. All meals were included with our tour. The boat rides were amazing, wildlife was beautiful. Absolutely take a jungle tour in Iquitos. I recommend 1 night 2 days.
Bianca the manager was extremely pleasant and helpful. I just needed a cheap place for one night and wanted to be close to Plaza De Arias. It advertises as a hostel but has hotel rooms. I had a single room which was surprisingly big and comfortable. The room had great A/C and huge bed and nice bathroom. The street it is on I believe is under construction to be a pedestrian only street so it is very quite, no motor tuktuks noise buzzy around all night.
one of the best hostels i stayed in so far in Peru. this is mainly because of the very friendly, welcoming hosts. they are always there for you, especially the owner himself.
he gives you the best tips and good an honest advice on prices and activities. he is also very relaxed, so nice to come “home” to. also the breakfast and the ladies who serve this are great.
i loved my stay in Iquitos and would go back here without any doubt.
Newish hotel (building is old but interior refurbished) with a rooftop terrace and small pool. Rooms are basic, but clean. Very poor internet, which is normal in Iquitos. Front desk staff friendly. Basic breakfast (fried egg, bread, coffee and juice). Great location, walking distance to the main plaza (3 blocks). Overall, a good stay. Housekeeping begins work around 7 am and can be quite loud.
Awesome location, walkable to Plaza de Armas, cute and quaint hotel, clean and comfortable, shower was hot and had good water pressure, room was large with extra closet space and safe, TV and A/C, beautiful rooftop pool/garden, plus they arranged airport transportation. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would definitely stay there again.
I love this old, fashionable hotel with baroque styled interior suited just by the river. The room were huge and the hotel also has a really nice backyard with swimming pool. I’ve stayed in several different hotels in Iquitos, and this was the first place I didn’t hear much of the noisy city and managed to get a good nights sleep.
Nice, basic room and friendly staff! We only stayed here one night. It was very dark and stormy outside so we didn’t want to leave the building. The employee at the front desk was kind enough to order us take out pizza to the hotel. He also reserved us taxi for early in the morning and packed us breakfast for our early flight.
The hotel is beautiful, luxurious and comfy! The pool was are favorite thing there, it was big and very clean! The food was amazing and the atmosphere every night at the bar and pool was Fun! Really like the fact that on Saturday there was a Latin band who came to preform. Recommend!!
Great Hostel near the center of Iquitos. Helpful and friendly owner named Chip and very happy to share his knowledge about the city and its surroundings. The room I booked was huge with a fridge, TV, AC AND one of the best view onto the 'bay' which leads onto the amazon.
Great little boutique with a very friendly, informative and attentive owner who gave us excellent advice on how best to spend our limited time in Iquitos.
Fantastic breakfast and unlimited coffee and water.
Staff also helped in arranging our transport to the Airport
Excellent location staff was friendly and attentive Chip was very helpful with any questions, always asking if I needed anything or if there was anything else he could do for me. I would definitely stay there again if I ever return to Iquitos
Casa Morey is a old property that brings you back to the 1800s. If you are looking for 5star Ritz luxury this is not the place. if you want true character, cleanliness, location, and a kind staff….this place is 5 star in my book.
The breakfast at Fitzcarrald Hotel is the best I have had that was included at a hotel. It was fresh, nutritious and filling and always served with a smile. This was an amazing find and I owe it all to Booking.com. Such a gem!
The place had great facilities and a wonderful staff but it was so hot in Iquitos! If you can stay in a place with AC I highly recommend but if not then this is the best place you will get!!
The room and view were very nice. The host was very helpful and set up a tour for us which we enjoyed. The room was very clean. We were very happy with our choice to stay at this hotel.
