It was great to have a swimming pool, a small private beach and a couple hotel restaurants, as the hotel itself was quite far from civilization. The signature carrot cake definitely left an impression too, so did the staff who were all extremely kind (especially at all the restaurants and breakfast area). Only on the last night we found out that you (probably) don't need a booking to go to the rooftop bar for a drink - recommend to try it out as it has great views :)

The pool and bar area is fantastic. The staff were very helpful and sorted out very reasonably priced car rental. In a quiet area but walkable to town and to a few closer tavernas. We used the place as a base to explore the island and really enjoyed it as that.
Enjoying a picturesque location on the hillside of Messonghi, 75 Steps offers spacious self-catering rooms with free wireless internet access and stunning views of the Ionian Sea and mountains.

A delightful small apartment hotel on Corfu!
The host, Tassos, always made you feel both like family and as the most important guest. We had breakfast and dinner every day at the rooftop taverna. There was no need to go elsewhere as the food was excellent and dinner was always followed by a delicious special liquor made by Tassos. Guests from nearby properties as well as locals would make dinner scene lively and all of the staff at 75 Steps displayed the same warmth and capability as Tassos.
The room was clean, spacious, had an excellent view from the balcony and the beds were comfortable. Complimentary parking is available in a lot about 50 meters away, so no worries if you arrive with a car. There was a washing machine onsite that was available for our use so it allowed us to have clean clothes for our onward journey.
Featuring inner courtyard views, Costas apartments in Mesongi features accommodations and a garden. Guests staying at this apartment have access to free Wifi, a fully equipped kitchen, and a balcony.

The room was clean, had everything you would need for a nice stay :)

Can't ask for a better location right on the beach with many restaurants within very short walking distance - you could easily get away without a car if you don't plan to go to other parts of the island. My wife and I stayed in the two-bedroom apartment with her parents and our 7-month old baby and it was perfect for what we needed. Traveling with a baby isn't always easy but we had the most relaxing stay. Michael was a very kind and attentive host who was always available to assist with whatever was needed. We hope to return!
Surrounded by olive trees the stone-built Villa Pepy is just 65 ft from the beach of Messonghi. It offers accommodations with free Wi-Fi and a private balcony overlooking the Ionian Sea.

Location was very good, and it was very clean. The host was really pleasant and help us with taxi.
The luxurious Palms and Spas is only a 5 minute walk away from Messonghi’s Blue Flag beach. Corfu town is 11 mi away. All accommodations comes with sea views.

Lovely location, wonderful facilities and particularly enjoyed the breakfast!
We love Messonghi, its very friendly and laid back.
We love Messonghi, its very friendly and laid back. There are good supermarkets for self catering if needed, a few very good places to eat, lovely coffee shop. Everything is in walking distance and mainly flat. A very relaxing place. We ate at Taverna Minori many times, Kerali, To Meraki, Mojo's and Bo the Butcher and tried Archontiko for the first time. In our experience these are the best places in Messonghi to eat.

This resort had everything - tavernas supermarkets/gift shops and did not have the overwhelming touristy feel some resorts have . Another beach - Prasoudi can be reached by car in 15 minutes, which had hard sand sun loungers and a bar, really lovely. Buses stop nearby and a bus trip to Corfu Town is 2.20euros each. and takes about 30-40mins

I have visited Messonghi many times.
I have visited Messonghi many times. It is tourist village but not overly so. There are restaurants along the beachfront, a few (well stocked ) supermarkets and gift shops. There are a few bars but this village is not a big party town. Good if you like a meal and a few wines in the evening. There are boat trips available (I recommend Captain Homers) .
The village is nestled between the mountains on the South coast. It’s not far into Corfu town and in the other direction is a lovely village called Boukari which has fabulous fish restaurants ( Spiros Karadis in particular).
I recommend Messonghi for people who want a relaxed peaceful holiday by the sea .

I've been visiting Messonghi since 2001 and have witnessed...
I've been visiting Messonghi since 2001 and have witnessed its evolution firsthand. Originally a quaint fishing village, it's seen significant modernization over recent years, a change that some might welcome while others could find off-putting. The charm of Messonghi, however, lies in its compactness, as everything is within a short walk, be it along the beach or via the busier road behind.
My personal dining favorites in the area are Taverna Minore and Korali Snack Bar.
Taverna Minore is a charming, authentic Greek spot where the food is simply outstanding, courtesy of the talented chef. Their prices are incredibly fair for what they offer, but do note that due to its popularity, it's advisable to reserve a table in advance. The owner is a wonderfully welcoming man; if you take the time to engage him in conversation, he's likely to invite you to sit and share a glass of Ouzo with him.
Korali Snack Bar is a family-run establishment with an extensive and affordable menu. The hosts have maintained their friendly and welcoming demeanor through the years, always greeting us with the same enthusiasm as they did on our first visit – it's undoubtedly one of the highlights of the area!
Just a stone's throw from Korali is Time Out Boss, a cozy bar run by some truly lovely people. The bartender, Lefteri, a friend for 16 years, always greets guests with a smile. Big boss George, a fixture at the bar, is great for a chat and a laugh, and “Tiny George” ensures smooth service at all the tables. He's a master of maintaining professional service and friendship, which deserves a special shout-out.
Out of respect for the locals, I won't share negative experiences with specific places here. Instead, I'd recommend checking Google Maps and TripAdvisor for further insight into other eateries. Some might not retain the same charm as they did years ago, so it's wise to do a little research before your visit.

Messonghi is the perfect place for a quite peaceful holiday, all the local inhabitants are very friendly and will go out of their way to help when needed. Bars and restaurants are in plenty full supply, we stayed for 9 nights and ate out at a different restaurant each evening, all excellent. As there has been insufficient space to give a special mention to hotel staff elsewhere I take this opportunity to say that the following were all exceptional:- Takis, Marina, Vasilis, Demitri, Alex and Heffi Senior and junior, what an exceptional contribution they made to our Holiday, thank you all so very much.

Mesongi has a good mix of both accommodation and restaurants...
Mesongi has a good mix of both accommodation and restaurants and there is no shortage of things to do.
The resort has a very good feel about it where the newer high end accommodation and old style Greek hotels offer a good balance whilst shops and services were also plentiful with a good bud service and taxis available.
Good walking and boat trips and the local restaurants were superb.
Nice location, nice beach in front of the hotel, sunbeds and parasol included in hotel price. It is a family hotel with very nice people running it. My daughter and me enjoyed staying in this hotel, we liked the environment, various restaurants nearby, as well as shops. I warmly recommend this place and I would return here again especially with family because it is very calm, yet with everything you need to enjoy your trip. Next time I would also consider taking a rent a car because it would be good to explore the island.
The staff were superb! Eleni drove my sister to the doctor when she was feeling ill and was so kind and helpful. They also booked tours for us and gave us excellent information. The pool was relaxing- there were floats for us to use and enjoy. Room service was friendly and excellent too. Whilst you aren't in the centre of Corfu there is an easy bus to take you there and you can book tours directly from where you stay. The beach was nice, people were friendly and we were really happy with our choice.
We really enjoyed our stay at Vlassis studios. The owner was very attentive to the guests, the apartment has everything you need for a stay. They have a small but excellent kitchen where we baked fish and Greek pie. The hotel has free parking. We traveled by car, so we had no problems with access to sights, the city and the airport. We walked to the beach, taverns and a supermarket. A beautiful view of the sea pleased our eyes for breakfast, and we looked at the mountains when we had dinner.
Vlassis Apartments is such a relaxing, quiet place to stay. The hosts were very kind and took great care of us. Just a lovely family. They made sure we had everything that we needed and wanted daily--even fresh eggs in the mornings! It was great.
The views from the balconies were like out of a movie scene. Perfect, inspiring and relaxing sunrises and sunsets. The beach, supermarkets, restaurants and public transportation were all within walking distance.
Pauline, the woman who met up with me to give me the room, was AMAZING. What a kind, wonderful woman. She went out of her way BIG TIME to make me happy. And the room was nice, the hotel pool was just big enough, the place was beautiful, and located perfectly on a hill with a view.
Loved my stay
We absolutely loved the location. It is located in a quiet area that has a supermarket, coffee shop, cafes, and tons of restaurants. It is also has the best beach in my opinion. We also loved the staff and the cleanliness! Great for families.
Everything was amazing! Costas is a really nice person, he gave us some tips about some nice beaches and restaurants which you won't find on the internet.
The room was clean, had everything you would need for a nice stay :)
In general, this hotel is quite good. Close to the sea, room was nice, staff is friendly, clean, 3 swimming pools. There is a Messonghi travel agency near the hotel. Bus station to Corfu city is in front of the hotel.
Location is near to the beach,Great host very accommodating and helpful the only person who helped us when we arrived in corfu after a very disappointing start of our holiday .Achilles saved our holiday ..Thank you
The apartment is huge and has each and every modern utility you can think about. The beach is a few meters away, surrounded by nice places to eat. Friendly and helpful owners made us feel like home.
the place is just how it was advertised, absolutely beautiful and felt like luxury. the pool was incredible, the beach was stunning and the beach bar was 10/10. the hotel itself was perfect.
Hotel run by lovely family that take care of you during your stay. Amazing beach front location with nice local amenities including bars, restaurants and local food/souvenir shop.
Service and accommodation were on exceptional level. We never experienced such an outstanding treatment. Beach was great, and services provided by the bar crew were also amazing.
Beautiful hotel with beautiful Sea views, especially during sunrise
and sunset. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming and they really made our only 1 day there special.
The hotel was modern clean and spacious. Very close to a safe sandy beach. The location is close to bars and restaurants so you do don’t really need a car.
