The hotel is extremely well located—a minute from the Opera House and a fifteen minute walk to the Danube. It is a short walk to the Basilica and conveniently near a Metro stop. The staff were helpful and the rooms were a good size, by European standards. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of choices and had both hot and cold options. We would definitely return if our travels bring us back to Budapest.

With a dome reminiscent of Brunelleschi’s "The Duomo" in Florence, the Hungarian parliament building is undoubtedly the icon of Budapest. It sits majestically by the Danube, the river that both divides and unifies the 2 parts of this capital city: Buda and Pest.
Overseeing Budapest from its vantage point on Castle Hill is Buda Castle. Spectacularly lit at night, it has the best views across this attractive city steeped in World Heritage. Some unique points of interest are Heroes Square and the Museum of Terror, reminders of the city’s more turbulent past.
Much like in Vienna further up the Danube, coffee and cake is practically an institution in Budapest. And there’s nowhere better to try them than Gerbeaud - the elaborate décor alone makes this café well worth a visit.
To really feel like a local, make a trip to the thermal baths. The relaxed Gellért Baths are a triumph of Art Nouveau grandeur and, based on their sheer size, you can't miss the outdoor Széchenyi Baths. If unusual nightlife is your thing, the club nights at these baths are great fun.
With an impressive range of Budapest hotels, apartments and hostels available in this city of 2 halves, Booking.com makes it an easy choice.

Getting around Budapest is super easy.
Getting around Budapest is super easy. I would suggest you download the app BudapestGO and depending on the length of your stay purchase the 15-day ticket for a hassle-free touring of the city.
At the airport, this ticket does not cover the 100E airport shuttle so be aware of that, take the 200E instead.
I would recommend the burger joint adjacent to the Ferris Wheel for some awesome loaded fries and great tasting burgers. I would also recommend Cafe Kor for a more sophisticated traditional dinner.

We used the Rough Guide, and found it most helpful.
We used the Rough Guide, and found it most helpful. Both with what to see, clear maps, and places to eat. We recommend: 90 min. red bus tour (price includes a 45 min. boat tour) for a quick overview; tour of parliament building; live performances at the Opera House, and at Lizst Music Academy; lunch at Gerbeaud (expensive, though!); Dohany utca Synagogue, museum etc; bathe at a bathhouse (we spent about 5 hrs at Gellert Baths); Hungarian National Museum; wander around reconstructed C18th Buda; Museum of Fine Arts. Just walk around and look at this fine late C19th - early C20th city.

Beautiful city our stay wasn’t very long only as we went for a concert at Puskas Arena. The weather was around 34 deg Celsius, so for me it was very hot to be walking around, however we did an evening river cruise, highly recommend, walked around parliament, the castle and the beautiful area around fisherman’s Baston, like something from a fairytale, also spent several hours at the Szechenyl Thermal baths, lovely chilled day, before the concert. Taxi to concert, booked via Budapest Taxi only a few pounds, freelance yellow taxi after concert £42.00, 20,000 HUF, so probably just making money from concert goers eager to get home, he did tell us the price before we got into taxi. So was completely our choice. stayed on Andrassay Avenue, at Mamaison Andrassay hotel, lovely area, 20 minute walk to thermal baths and lovely parks area, or 20mg smother direction into main areas for shopping, eating walks etc.

Budapest is an absolute must if you are planning to visit...
Budapest is an absolute must if you are planning to visit cities in Europe. It combines the charm of Vienna and Prague with so much to offer. You can spend days sightseeing and still have more to explore. The people are friendly and quite tolerant of the huge number of tourists roaming around their beautiful city. Many people speak English, so language is not an issue.
There are restaurants all around, but if you want quality food, I suggest you try the ones on Oktober 6 Street. They have a good variety. I especially recommend a restaurant on this street called "Parasztkonyha," which serves traditional Hungarian food like Goulash soup and Paprika chicken.
Getting around Budapest is very easy. If you enjoy walking, you can easily explore the city on foot. For families with kids, a visit to Margaret Island is a must, as it's a great place for children to play and ride around. For shopping, make sure to add the Central Market Hall to your list of places to visit. It's a nice indoor market that sells traditional food items such as paprika, sausages, and wine. On the second floor, you'll find Hungarian embroidery.
Overall, Budapest is an absolutely beautiful city that everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime. You won't be disappointed!

A fascinating city that offers an abundance of historical monuments, museums, galleries... where you will not remain hungry or thirsty regardless of individual preferences. Don't miss to find at least a few miniature sculptures of the magnificent Michal Holodko.
I liked the breakfast, simple but with variety of salty and sweet options. I liked the room and the hall. The best part was the location. Near the metro and Liszt museum ,great connection with the airport bus(no need to change line), close to the park and some of the baths, close to hidden but maybe even better restaurants, better overall than staying in front of the central road with the traffic. Great staff. Better internet connection that some other hotels in Budapest. Surprisingly I loved the fact that they gave me an actual key! :)
The hotel is located in a lovely part of Budapest with lots of restaurants and cafes nearby, within walking distance to the city centre.
The lady at the reception desk when we arrived was genuinely pleasant and helpful, she gave us information on how to properly pay for parking on the street and about our stay.
We had a room with a view into the backyard, which provided us with silence for good sleep.
The breakfast included in the price was tasty and as expected in hotels across Europe. (The coffee could be a bit better.)
The boat has an amazing view of the Parliament building and enjoying a cup of coffee on the deck is priceless. Breakfast was really good and diverse.
The bathroom is quite small, but it is a boat after all, so that was not a big issue.
The room was very clean and the staff always friendly, polite and helpful.
Parking is available close by, so the hotel is a great option if you want to avoid the crowded areas in the center where access by car is limited, but still feel an authentic Budapest atmosphere.
What positive surprise! I expected a cheap worn-out hotel, yet this is very new and clean, with an excellent price/performace ratio. The whole facility is either new or freshly refurbished. The room felt nice and the bathroom was quite fancy and stylish for this price range. A very good base for exploring budapest, the subway is just across the street. I was grateful for big free parking just in front of the hotel, so I didnt have to worry about someone stealing expensive mantoys from my car.
Great hotel at a marvellous location - it is actually right in the city centre (city centre in Budapest is a large area with a lot of sightseeing spots) at a super busy location. Yet if you go just around the corner it is going to be very quiet and quite a few nice restaurants there. The staff is helpful and friendly. If you do not feel like going anywhere, there is also a nice restaurant and bar right in the hotel (downstairs and also on the rooftop). All-in-all would visit again :)
Parking in Budapest might be a bit tricky and expensive, and so I choose this hotel because I was looking for a place where I can safely leave my car over the night and still easily reach the city centre.
The hotel has a surprisingly big parking lot behind the building, which was great. And the underground was in 5min walk, so the location was also perfect for us. The staff was really kind, and the room was very quiet and cozy, good value for money.
Unimpressive from the outside, but inside a completely newly renovated, excellent hotel. I had a very quiet room. Room furnishings and bathroom were excellent. Breakfast buffet was very good. The hotel is very close to the urban park and there are several interesting museums nearby. You can get to the city centre quickly by underground. The hotel staff is friendly and professional. I recommend this hotel for a stay in Budapest!
best option to go to Budapest, value for money and in the middle of the city centre of Budapest, very convenient if you are coming from the airport, the apartment was big, very clean and modern.
the reception stuff were very nice and very polite with languages knowledge, definitely the best option for staying in the centre.
I would totally recommend to everyone (:
We really enjoyed our stay at Roombach hotel and we will definitely choose it again when we come back to Budapest. Good variety of food at breakfast, everything was fresh and tasty, very friendly staff, they even help us with the parking, great location, right in the city centre. Room was not very big but enough for our stay and we appreciated the cleanliness!
When I spent some days in Budapest I stayed at the Silver Hotel. It exceeded all of my expectations. It located in the city centre, so everything is close to it. The employes are really helpfull the breakfast is decent. Rooms and beds are clean and comfortable. You can clain any service here. And there's a nice view from the room, look at the city centre.
Amazingly welcoming staff, beautiful rooms, very calm and relaxing atmosphere away from the noise of the city centre. We slept better than we ever have thanks to the super comfortable beds and extremely quiet rooms. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and we would happily return to Kozmo next time we’re in Budapest. A real gem of a hotel.
Best value for money in Budapest in my opinion.
We’ve been in a few places, and closed our 2 months trip in two weeks in Escala.
The room was comfortable and clean, the breakfast was great, but the highlight of this hotel is the staff members.
Not only they take their jobs very seriously, it seems like they really like what they are doing.
The best part of the property was location. It’s located in the city centre - in a walkable distance to every well-known attraction in Budapest. Owner was very kind and welcoming and room was very nice - the entresol was amazing! I really recommend staying at Connection Guesthouse
The hotel was at the best possible location in Budapest. I had a room with balcony that provided me with a view of the very center of Budapest! Beds were excellent, room was spacious and comfy, and the complimentary coffee and tea were a nice touch. The staff was great, too!
Very nice room, styling was amazing. Great bed, amazing shower! Close to city centre, we walked everywhere but the Metro and Busstation is very close. Would definitely come back to Budapest and book this hotel again!
A big plus was the underground parking. Felt very safe.
The hotel was so amazing, clean and the location was perfect, in the city centre. I will choose this hotel every time. The girls of the staff was amazing so nice and educated. I loved everything about my stay in The Loft Budapest. Hope to return soon
The Prestige Hotel in Budapest is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff is exceptionally helpful, the breakfast is wonderful and the location can't be bettered. Greatly recommended.
The best hotel in Budapest so far. Picturesque view from the hotel room. Perfect service, very generous staff. We could get everything we needed for our stay: razor, towels, lotions etc.
