The floor was extremely slippery by elevator and pool. Our room was being renovated, and it took two trips and a photo to show the busy front desk, but upgraded us to a suite. Breakfast was fresh eggs and sausage. Nice area by pool to eat!

It was delightful until I realized breakfast ended at 9:30am. You could give your guests a bit more time to transform from hate the world to less groggy.

good location, but the hotel always smelled of cigarettes.
What a blast! We came into town for a BIG TIME ROCK N ROLL SHOW, and this place can’t be beat, yes it has been around the block, yet that gives her some character. They are rebuilding, and even the crew we met doing the work are cool! The attached restaurant has excellent chow. Go out back and check out the fire pits, super cool! 2-4-1’s open to close…WHAT? Breakfast was excellent, shout out to CHEF, what a character. Also, Deb we love ya, this gal knows her hotel stuff, what a hoot! Hope this band returns next year, ‘cause we’ll be back!

Shakopee had a variety of places to eat and shop.
Shakopee had a variety of places to eat and shop. If not actually in Shakopee, places were not too far to travel to get to them.
Valleyfair was packed both days we were there, which is unusual. We have visited numerous times and this time it was so busy. I suppose with shorter hours and not open as many day, people are coming in droves. I would have liked to see it not as busy but there was nothing that could be done except for limiting the amount of people that are actually allowed into the park. When I booked I did think that they were doing limited capacity (I had to make reservations each day)but that was not the case.
We ate at Applebee’s one night but I am not sure if it was actually in Shakopee. We’ve eaten there before and we were not that happy with the experience this time as we were in previous years. Food was not as good.
We eat at Culver's every single day…great food & service.

I missed having a phone book to call restaurant's.
I missed having a phone book to call restaurant's. We are elderly and do not use our cell phones as much as the younger do. There were plenty of fast foods and eating places in the area. You didn't have to go far. Very nice part of town.

Location-great.
Building outside and inside was worn out.
Location-great.
Building outside and inside was worn out. It looked like it had been closed up for quite some time, and probably was with the pandemic. But it was really embarassingly tacky and rundown. Carpet and grounds are in awful condition. Looks like no one cares about it.

Shakopee is a great area to stay at even if you're going to Mall of America. It's a short drive and in the summer their small amusement park ValleyFair is open. You must go to Waumpach's for breakfast. You'll have a wait because it's small but the biscuits & gravy is awesome. If you like to play poker I highly recommend Canterbury Downs. They know the meaning of service for their poker players. Dangerfield's is a must for their Sunday brunch.
Considering Shakopee is a small town, the location was very convenient and is in walking distance to a few restaurants and a CVS to stock up on necessities. The staff was excellent and were helpful in getting us checked in early. The free breakfast bar exceeded expectations and is probably the best free breakfast I've had at any hotel. The beds were comfortable and the room generally well kept.
I returned to your hotel due to my previous positive breakfast experience as you had real sausage and bacon plus other great food. This was very disappointing because it was turkey sausage and no bacon. I am all about food when I choose to stay at a hotel. This did not satisfy me at all. I will not to stay here in November when I return to Shakopee.
We really enjoyed our stay, the gentleman who checked us in was very nice and helpful, the hotel and room was beautiful and clean, and our room was very comfortable. The facilities of the hotel were very nice, I really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. We will definitely book a room again!
The staff at this hotel are what prompted a good review. They are so friendly and welcoming! The hotel is an older property but is very clean and everything works well. We had no issues during our stay and it was quiet despite being full.
I really liked having the kitchenette in the room and having my breakfast in the room. I came up to attend the Renaissance Faire and the hotel was conveniently located to one of the park 'n ride lots to catch a shuttle bus for the faire.
We got there. At checkin card declined because a$600 hold had been put on by hotel. After paying cash still hasn't cleared. The room was ok. The slide at the pool, main attraction, was broke the entire weekend.
Friendly, breakfast also good.
Place and price are ok. Can't complain compared to my budget. If you need a luxury hotels, this is not for you. But a place to stay and go,this is good enough for me.
The room was clean and the hotel had lots of amenities like breakfast in the morning and a pool. The check-in process was easy and there is an elevator to get to the upper floors.
The breakfast was ok, and the pillows were nice. It was one hotel stall a guy and i can't remember his name.. He was awesome maybe early 30's dark hair he was GREAT!
