staff was very nice . we stay at this hotel every year we come back to Gettysburg on vacation. they are always pleasant some new faces some i remember from last year. they are always accommodating and pleasant. we pick this hotel because of the clean rooms, pool and jacuzzi.
mu husband has been a director for many years for a hotel where we live so he's more picky about things in a hotel and standards. I'm just happy to go on vacation . but never the less this Hotel is what we consider a ⭐⭐⭐⭐ . giving it a 5 star would mean its perfect and no hotel is perfect . not even the high end hotels.
So Thank you for our stay it was as nice as it could be for us staying with you for the week.

Eat at The Donnin House. It's pricey, but WELL worth it!
Eat at The Donnin House. It's pricey, but WELL worth it! It's easy to walk around Gettysburg because there are benches everywhere but bring or purchase a cane or walking stick because the sidewalks are uneven. The Chocolate Market is an AWESOME experience, and so is Buddy Boy's Winery shop. Of course, don't miss shopping at Gallery 30 in the heart of town, the Irish Store, and Dirty Billy's Hats among many other places. The ONLY negative is that most stores don't open until 10 AM and close by 4 PM. Also, some stores are not open the entire week. So, plan your trip accordingly and enjoy the small-town feeling.

Great, historic small town with the Nation's largest Civil War Battlefield that the National Park Service is constantly trying to restore/maintain to its 1863 setting. I highly recommend booking a licensed battlefield guide for a two hour tour of the battlefield. WELL worth the price.

Gettysburg is much more than its history, and the history itself will keep you busy for days. We found so many local businesses that we wanted to explore, hotels we'd like to stay in, and people that were so friendly. Could easily make a long weekend out of a visit, even in the off season.

The town was very cute. But it is a very "sleepytown". Everything closes so early including gas stations even on the weekends. So, if you are from the city like me make sure you do everything early including food. Most places close their kitchens between 9-10pm on the weekends.

We chose the self guided tour through Action Tour Guide.
We chose the self guided tour through Action Tour Guide. You pay online prior to your tour, download the app, and when you start at the designated location, the app uses GPS to guide you through a specific tour route.....with narration. VERY inexpensive, but thorough and informative. The 'human' guide prices were exorbitant. The only caution is that there are no restrooms on the tour route. So, in order to use facilities, you must leave the route and return to where you stopped on the tour route. The app doesn't help you find restrooms. In addition, most businesses (including 7 Eleven) would not allow someone to use their restroom. We had to travel back to Sheetz (2-3 miles out of our way) for hassle -free relief.

Gettysburg is a great place to visit.
Gettysburg is a great place to visit. We have been there many times and enjoy our time there. There is not only so much history to explore but the shopping is good too. When visiting, dining at the Dobbin House is a must. Best food in town
The Hotel has seperate rooms with doors, great for privacy. Dog friendly was a plus, for a small fee. I also liked that there were no surprise charges on our bill! We enjoyed our stay and will most defintley come back to stay in the future. Perfect location, right next to the outlet mall and a TGI Fridays which was very delicious! About a 4 minute drive to downtown Gettysburg and the battlefield. The complimentary breakfast was pretty good for a "hotel" breakfast. The rooms were very pristine, and had lots of space!
This hotel is exactly what you pay for. A bit shabby, the beds were worn. The rating of 8.1 compared to other places I’ve stayed at in Gettysburg is not comparable. The actual Wyndham a bit down the street is a slight bit more and exponentially better. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The proximity to things is good (a Dunkin Donuts a stone throw away, plus all the attractions of Gettysburg)
If you are looking for a very bare bones place that is cheap and not great but also not good, this is it.
Second visit staying here. The hosts are so lovely and helpful. I had rooms 3a and 3b and had plenty of space. The big bonus is the 24x7 kitchen where you can help yourself to breakfast and snacks. I was travelling on a budget and the bfast was great. Kind and generous hosts who assisted me and my luggage to the bus station.
Room was comfortable but I would pick Room 3a next time as it was brighter and more spacious and has a mini fridge.
I would definitely stay here again when visiting Gettysburg.
Our stay at the Gettysburg Sleep Inn was comfortable. The room was clean and had what we needed. We were all set with a frig, microwave , coffee machine, couch, desk, hair dryer, soap, shampoo and ice. The breakfast had the usual choices. We had coffee, waffles, egg and sausage. The woman at the desk when we came in was friendly and helpful. The place was conveniently located on the outskirts of the historical places we were going. Choice hotels are usually a safe bet for a good night's stay.
This is a gem of a hotel. It's so cute and very close to all things Gettysburg. Very quiet, and they have a really good selection for breakfast. Last, the price was unbeatable for the area and for all the amenities. The night clerk was very helpful, too. Google maps took us on the wrong way, and he came out in the cold to find us and show us how to get to the front of the hotel. Exceptional customer service from him.
The hotel is an old school which has been nicely renovated keeping all the old features. The room was really big, with high ceiling and very comfortable beds. The shower was amazing and the bathroom was one of the biggest we've ever had when staying in a hotel. The parking was easy, the staff very friendly and the location great allowing an easy walk into town.
Breakfast was a plus! We were on a 2 week vacation and stayed at several hotels with breakfast and your spot was the best of all of them! Well stocked and actually had flavor to the food. Location was great for us, we were in Lancaster, Hershey and Gettysburg which all were within distance for your hotel.
The hotel was clean. The staff was very friendly on arrival and throughout our stay. The breakfast was okay (continental) however that's all we were looking for. Nothing fancy. The hotel is located in close proximity to all the Gettysburg attractions.
Good location for visiting Gettysburg battlefield. Walking distance to several restaurants. Plenty of parking. Helpful and friendly staff and quick check-in. Comfortable beds. Large bathroom. Decent breakfast, including pancake maker.
The location of the hotel in comparison to the local hotspots in town was perfect. right down the main stretch of road made it easy to get in and out of town to go and visit, tour, and see all of the local hotspots.
We loved the very traditional American breakfast. Steve and Teresa are wonderful Innkeepers and we learnt a lot from them about the Lightner Farmhouse, the battlefields and the history of Gettysburg.
We liked the cleanliness of the entire hotel and the staff was extremely friendly.. The location was pretty good but we did wish the restaurant was not closed
The staff were excellent and friendly, especially Diego. I've stayed there once before and to be honest I wouldn't stay anywhere else when I go to Gettysburg.
