My stay at Grand Galvez exceeded all expectations. The restoration of the property is wonderful. Friendly and helpful staff from bellman, valet, front desk, restaurant and bar personnel. The room was very clean and every amenity needed is provided including steamer, bathroom amenities, and the very comfortable bed and pillows. Love the fancy mirror!

We were apprehensive reading the list of possible fines if we didn't follow the host's instructions but we were careful to comply (as we would have anyway). Aaron graciously and unexpectedly allowed us to check in early (which gave us extra time to enjoy floating in the lovely lazy river) and also provided two free beach towels. The condo was in good condition and very clean (except for the moldy seal in the washing machine, a common issue with front loaders). Main bedroom is rather small (not enough room beside king-size bed to open the closet doors). Bed was comfortable except for the firm pillows (consider bringing your own). The leather sofa seat is very deep (seemingly designed for long thighs), so add a pillow for back support. Kitchen could use one or two sharp knives, but there were plenty of dishwasher tablets and three hair dryers provided (unlisted amenities). There were no perfumy smells of air fresheners or fabric softeners, and I appreciated that due to allergies. Parking garage was nice and pretty empty at the time. Note that this area of Galveston beach is completely covered by waves at high tide, and you may need mosquito spray.

The beds are really comfortable and the air was nice and cold, which is the most important thing to my husband after being outdoors all day. I enjoyed the decor and cleanliness of the home, plus the location was perfect.
