Sabugueiro is a small village in Serra da Estrela, being travelling with kids with just snow in their minds, I did no had the chance to seesight in Sabugueiro, but I know it has a river beach, and alot of nature.
The hotel is in perfect condition, it’s fairly new and everything is high quality. The host, Joana, made the experience even better. She always went the extra mile to make sure that we are comfortable. Even better, she helped me buy and prepare things for my friend’s birthday
I also liked that there is a kitchen so you can easily cook your meals as well and all the utilities are there.
The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff worked hard to answer all our questions about the region. Perfect for exploring Serra da Estrela Natural Park. In particular, Paula was very helpful in securing a time slot for the spa for the evening we wanted to use the pool. The restaurant staff was very nice as well and the meals exceeded our expectations.
Excellent value for money. We were in a family reunion and had the building all for ourselves. brand new, with a big living room and convenient parking. Wi-Fi worked ok. Breakfast was at the hotel, simple bit tasty and with some nice extras like purpose cooked scrambled eggs and bacon. also nice semi-natural orange juice. Staff were extremely nice and helpful.
Location is great, we love Sabugueiro.
House is beautifully renovated and has three floors with one doble bedroom with private bathroom on ground floor. Kitchenette and livingroom are on 1st floor and on the upper floor you'll the second bedroom, with 2 doble beds and bathroom.
We liked the decor and the owner was helpful and nice.
The swimming pool and spa need to be reserved, which meant that we had the entire space with beautiful view of the mountains all to ourselves! The restaurant was amazing, the food was delicious and made with local products. The staff in te hotel and the restaurant was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable.
This is a lovely village thats worth visiting close to Torre and the park attractions. Amazing beautiful public swimming area by the river. Nice historic village to walk around. Country roads to walk on. The hotel is fine - nothing special but good enough for a night.

Very nice hotel with all the facilities need for a pleasant stay after a long day of hiking Serra de Estrela. Enjoyed the bath tub and the spacious room. Dinner in the restaurant was really good!
Warm, professional & responsive staff. Comfortable, clean, well appointed private room and communal kitchen. Great fireplace. All in the village of Sabugueiro, the highest village in Portugal.
