Austria Trend Hotel Salzburg Messe, hotel in Salzburg

The modern Austria Trend Hotel Salzburg Messe is in a convenient location, close to the A1 highway, about a 15-minute bus ride from the heart of the city.

Exceptional place with a great view of the mountains :) I loved everything about our stay, the staff were cordial and interactive and the parking place was very convenient. As it is nearby the Highway, it is much more convenient for travelers with own vehicle. No parking fees which is a delight, unlikely in City center which charge 16 Euros per day like the hotels near Central Station :) Public transport like Bus connectivity is also right across the hotel and beside depending upon the direction of travel. If I visit Salzburg in future, this is where I stay henceforth. Thank you :)

FAQ about family hotels in Salzburg

The Hills Are Alive in Salzburg

Made famous for its “hills alive with the sound of music”, Salzburg is a very pretty town filled with romantic buildings and squares. If you are not yet aware that Mozart was born here, then you will be as soon as you land at Salzburg W.A. Mozart International Airport.

Further your education about this musical prodigy at his actual birthplace, Mozarts Geburtshaus. The city is the namesake of the Salzach River which runs through it, and alongside this beautiful river lays the Schloss Mirabell, one of the many impressive castles within the city limits. Schloss Mirabell and Hellbrunn with their picturesque gardens, beautiful galleries and impressive halls make the ideal spot for a picnic during summer.

The white-stone Hohensalzburg fortress is perched upon a green hill and offers magnificent views over the city. Or, you can escape it all in the Kapuzinerberg forest, which offers splendid Alpine vistas- a reminder of Salzburg’s natural beauty.

The shopping centre focuses around Alter Markt Square and Getreidegasse, the latter is a quirky street with old-fashioned signs indicating what each store sells. With 125 hotels and guesthouses available on Booking.com, your stay in Salzburg is bound to be as pleasant as this city is pretty.

Beautiful city, located close to lots of sight seeing locations. Highly recommend going to the Eagles Nest (The Kehlsteinhaus), it’s a short bus ride and you can walk up from The Documentation station without paying insane guided tour prices. I got from Salzburg, up and back for under €30. Took me 1 hour, 40 minutes to walk to the top.

A beautiful city with gorgeous architecture and parks. There is so much to do and see…. The castle, Mozart’s birth place, a Mozart concert, the Mirabelle gardens, rooftop restaurants, beer gardens, a coach trip into the mountains and surrounding villages.

I love Salzburg. It is beautiful in any season.

I love Salzburg. It is beautiful in any season. The old town with its churches, galleries, coffee shops and magnificent castle on the top of the rocks. We took the Festungbahn to the castle and had a lovely dinner with a view on the top of the rocks. We also strolled through the old town and took part in the 10 k Hervis run so we could see the mountains and the residential parts of Salzburg. We arrived by train and the journey was quite quick and easy. We had late breakfast at Café Tomaselli. Great coffee and cakes with a view from a balcony. There is still so much to see and do.

    Beautiful scenery.

Beautiful scenery. Fun Sound of Music tour taken with Panorama tours (I’d recommend them). Lots of interesting places to view and visit. Great for walks and cafe/bar stops along the routes. We went by train to Vienna for a day trip and took a bus tour around the city. A full day and a little tiring but well worth it. Reception staff at the hotel booked the train and taxi tickets for us which was very helpful.

Loved the Mozart concert in the Mirabell palace. Loved the buildings, the river, the shops, the cafes and restaurants. Will recommend to everyone

The location is very good if you want to experience life in Salzburg, not a touristy place. This is a very Austrian hotel that has the old keys, but it does have a lift! The value is great, especially if you want to experience the Christmas Markets and walk to the city center, not far at all. Garage parking is very close and inexpensive because the hotel gives you a discount. There are several very good, local restaurants nearby and they're not overrun by tourists. I've stayed here several times over the years.

The hotel is an easy 5 minute walk from the train station. It is also an easy 15 minute walk to the Old Town with plenty to see on the way including shops and restaurants . There is a beautiful riverside walk at he end of the street which also leads to the Old Town. We found the hotel's location perfect for our sightseeing outings. We specifically booked this hotel to visit the Stiegl Brewery. So the location was perfect. It was also easy to walk to a nearby restaurant for dinner. The Staff were especially helpful with the parking and ideas for dinner. Note that we were not visiting old town Salzburg but the walk was about 20 minutes which we ended up doing since we waited for the 2:00 English Tour at the Brewery. It was well worth the wait and we ate at the Italian restaurant, Osteria-Cavalli and found it very good.
