The lady at check-in, who owns and runs the place, was very friendly and helpful. She offers lots of helpful tips and information about restaurants, beach access, stores, taxi driver contact numbers, ferry schedules - you name it! We received lots of information even before our arrival, which really helped us plan our trip. The room we stayed in (Room 8, which I think is called the Jungle Room?) was wonderful! As soon as we stepped in, we felt we were at home. We appreciated the little details and the murals on the wall. Having a kitchenette was great, especially since we wanted to have some local fruit from the nearby fruit stall. You can get a 20-liter (?) container of water at reception for 3 USD, which was great since we did not have a car, and it would have been a hassle to lug so much water back to the hotel from the shop - and trust me, you need a lot of water to stay hydrated in the heat here! The bedroom area was a separate room, which made us feel more like we were in an apartment and not in a hotel room. Internet connection was great, and I was able to get some work done remotely while there. The location worked great for us as we weren't looking to party on this trip, so we purposefully chose a place far from all the action in the center of town, but we did walk into town to catch a flight to Caye Caulker, and that took about 30 minutes. It was almost 40 degrees Celsius when we were there, so the walk was not all that pleasant, but it is doable - just not when the sun is directly above you, like it was on our way back. All in all, I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy place in a quiet location. We both agree that we would come back to this place if we ever find ourselves in San Pedro again!

All the units face the ocean, with private covered patio and the great sea breeze blowing in. The air is perfumed by the blooming plumeria in the center courtyard around the pool. The kitchen was very well equipped, including salt and pepper! The bed had nice linens and a comfortable topper and was larger than a usual king. Diving Adventures is right on the pier. It is quiet at night, and only 0.7 miles from the ferry dock and all the restaurants downtown (an easy stroll along the beachfront to get there!). There is a little produce stand just to the left of the entrance in the day for fruit and vegetables and a good size grocery store about a block and a half back toward downtown.

Perfect location, beautiful views! This hotel is a 2 minute walk from the water taxi. It sits right on the beach and has stunning views of the ocean and piers. The most popular restaurants are all within a 5 minute walk. The room was large, and they placed an extra bed for a 3rd guest - and even then, we had room to spare! The balcony was also large and extremely comfortable. Overall delightful stay!

San Pedro felt like a whole different world from Belize City...
San Pedro felt like a whole different world from Belize City, and Belize City was a whole different world then where I'm from (Phoenix, AZ, USA). I loved driving around town in the golf cart (golf cart rentals are a must). Many little places to eat. This includes touristy restaurants and small very local places. Locals are very nice and sweet.

San Pedro is worth going to by ferry (San Pedro Express Water Taxi) which takes two hours one way. I would recommend going to San Pedro rather than staying in Belize City because it has everything; all the blue water and great activities and tours.

Caye Ambergris is a lovely, breezy island.
Caye Ambergris is a lovely, breezy island. San Pedro has numerous restaurants, bars and excursion companies. The barrier reef is relatively close with lots of diving and snorkeling outings available. The islands (Ambergris and Caulker) are fairly expensive for food and drinks. A variety of lodging options are available, which seemed reasonably priced to me.

What I liked most of San Pedro was the people.
What I liked most of San Pedro was the people. They were so friendly and respectful at all times. I loved it so much that I’m considering moving to the country. Can’t wait to return for another visit. My favorite spots were Caye Caulker for excursions, great eating places were the Truck Stop, Lily’s Treasure Chest & Maxie’s along with our hotel restaurant just to name a few. Getting around the town we used golf carts which that’s what most of the city uses. They’re easy to rent and cash is king there. Keep in mind that it’s a slowly developing country so the roads are rough and bumpy. I can’t think of a thing I would avoid on my next trip. Had a fabulous time…

We try to spend five full days in San Pedro annually.
We try to spend five full days in San Pedro annually. For the first three trips, we rented a Golf Cart to see the far ends of the island. Now, we choose to stay downtown and walk to everything. SP is very safe, but don't leave anything in your cart. Meals can be pricy if you eat "non-local" foods - in other words, by eating at the smaller, less advertised venues, delicious, local food is very cheap! You can have a large meal for two at Neri's Tacos for under $10 US!
El Fagon has the best ceviche we've ever had. It's a local restaurant with fairly low prices but get there before 6:30 PM unless you have reservations. The picture is of a Michelada served with a frozen beer. One appetizer of ceviche is a meal, so don't over-order!
Red Ginger, Elvi's Kitchen, and Cool Beans have exceptional food and service but are non-local and expensive.
The Palapa Bar is NOT WORTH IT! Embarrassingly, we've made the mistake of eating there twice - never again! The service is rude and surly. The food is very expensive and below-average. The entertainment is not good.
We've stayed at Ramon's—excellent location, average food, no booze, but pricey; Xanadu, which is not very convenient and expensive; and Tradewinds Paradise Villas, which is reasonably priced and has an exceptional location. We liked Tradewinds Paradise Villas the best. It is within walking distance of everything downtown, has a beautiful pool with shade, and has outstanding management.

San Pedro is a beautiful place. I come here once a year.
San Pedro is a beautiful place. I come here once a year. The best thing about San Pedro is the locals. They make this beautiful place that much better. The food is absolutely amazing. When you think of food around the world Belize tends to not be on that list. IT SHOULD BE. The food is so amazing!
It could be described as a boutique hotel as Chefy’s attention to detail is second to none. The rooms are tastefully decorated in a modern understated fresh Caribbean style. The beds are supremely comfortable with beautifully appointed amenities, there’s even an ironing board in the room!
Chefy is a very attentive host and is on hand to greet his guests and answer any queries. He takes great pride in his family business and it shows. I certainly hope to be a repeat guest and highly recommend a stay at La Casa de Paz.
The location was great. It was a bit farther away from the noise and bustle of San Pedro but close enough that we could hop on our golf cart and be in town in about 10 minutes. We couldn’t believe our luck that we were in walking distance to the Truck Stop. We spend two nights there enjoying all the activities. Our breakfast each morning was lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful with suggestions of where to go and eat. I highly recommend this property.
The place was amazingly maintained and clean. You could really feel there like at home. The owner is very helpful and gave us all the tips for the San pedro we could hope for.
But the most heart warming moment was the help we received when we had to leave since our ferry was leaving at 6 am and no taxi driver was answering our messages. She offered to drive us there herself despite the ungodly early hour.
We will definitely come back there again.
This hotel lived up to the boutique standard with exceptional service, wonderful food and perfectly balanced drinks. The room was inpeccably clean, with multitudes of fluffy towels, soft sheets and a comfy bed. It also had a well appointed kitchen, but their food and drink were so good you had no desire to cook for yourself. It was, however, nice to have a supply of the local Belekin beer in the refrigerator.
Beautiful views and very close to the north bridge. Also, not far from the center of San Pedro. Excellent launch pad to about anywhere you may want to go, walking/ biking distance to the town, the bridge etc.
Personally, it was a bit too hectic for us to walk around and eventually rented a golf cart so we could see more due to having to return home (only booked 5 nights on AC) then off to the next place!
Cocotal Inn and Cabanas is a small hotel with pristine, beautiful, restful and tropical beachfront grounds. The staff members are friendly, helpful and take great care of guests. We had a wonderful two week stay. This lovely place is close to the restaurants and beach bars of North San Pedro and minutes away from the tourist areas.
Nice hostel in san pedro.
Drom with enough space and lockers
Unfortunaley not very clean / no daily cleaning of bathrooms in the dorm
Kitchen available, equipment good.
Nice Pool (s) available
Next to the sea - but due to Seegras not possible to take a bath there
They support with tours and bikes for rent.
Location amazing, staff are just wonderful.
Jake and the team get it absolutely spot on by being there to help but not intrusive.
We happened to be there during Storm Lisa and again Jake and team looked after us perfectly.
If you are thinking of a holiday in San Pedro don’t hesitate to book here.
The space is absolutely perfect for a digital nomad, reliable Wi-Fi, great cooking area with everything you need, work station. Also, Lisa was extremely responsive and the caretaker Gordo was so kind and helpful! Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to spend an extended stay in San Pedro.
Cute spot away from the busyness and noise of San Pedro. Lovely rooms with AC. Bed was comfortable. You can see the ocean from the property and enjoy an ocean breeze. All the staff and owner were very helpful and friendly. Great coffee! Near lots of restaurants and the Truck Stop.
The property is very nice as well as the rooms, but the pool was closed, and they also were cleaning the water from the sea with pumps, it was terrible noisy, not good for vacation and rest. But they charged full prize, without considering the hotel situation
We had a great time. The owner was super super nice. Accommodated all our needs including late check out for free so we can enjoy the beach until our ferry leaves. I highly recommend this place for a great San Pedro vacation.
The staff were excellent. The place was beautiful and relaxing, very quiet. Far enough away from the hubbub of San Pedro, but close enough to easily make the trip into town for eating and entertainment.
Very nice breakfast, differnt every day. Best hotel room of our 2 week Belize vacation in 4 locations. Excellent location-easy to walk downtown to restaurants and shops. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Very good location very close to San Pedro's main clock in the center of the town. The staff was very friendly and from the day that I made my reservation they contacted me to welcome me
love love love this place. perfect location right on the beach, and by the main centre of San Pedro. Staff all really happy helpful
