The restaurant was wonderful. Good location. I loved the balcony view. The rooms are a bit dated but mostly the bathrooms. They felt like nursing home bathrooms and had a weird sterile smell. Would also benefit from AC

We had a lovely stay at this charming hotel. The woman at the front desk (who we believe is the owner) was incredibly kind and welcoming. She treated our children with such warmth, even letting them prepare a small sandwich for the morning. The room was spacious, cozy, and very quiet, which allowed us to rest wonderfully. Breakfast felt homemade and comforting, with thoughtful touches that made us feel at home. The location is perfect, just a short walk from restaurants and local attractions.

Lovely old style Bavarian hotel. The rooms have older furnishings, but very stylish, and the bathrooms are new. Rooms in building B have nice balconies with partial mountain views. Everything is clean. The main building reception and dining area is a work of art, as is the main building facade, purely beautiful. The hotel does not have air conditioning, but even in a heatwave rooms get nice and cool in the evening.

Beautiful location on a hill up above Partenkirchen, with views of the town and mountains, including Zugspitze, from the restaurant terrace. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast buffet (20 euros per person) and outdoor tables.

    Ettals main, and only, attraction is the Abbey. Which is certainly impressive. You'll most likely visit Ettal for the region, as it is a great point to start your hikes and/or visit Oberammergau and Garmisch-Partenkichen. Munchen and Innsbruck are only an hour drive away.

    This busy hotel has the feeling of a youth hostel.

    This busy hotel has the feeling of a youth hostel. Rooms are simply but practically equipped. There’s a constant coming and going of tourists. Unfortunately, I couldn’t bring me dog to breakfast. I wasn’t told that outside it is possible. Breakfast was basic. Scrambled eggs came in squared chunks, thus probably defrozen. Lots of plastic (Marmelade, Butter,…) The whole personnel is polish. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, I had just expected a Bavarian host. All in all my stay here felt like holidays off an assembly line.

    Great views, facilities, with little touches like use of condiments, olive oil, and teabags, some beers ready in the fridge, and fragrant soap in all the bathrooms made life easy. Comfy sofas and beds, and a great shower, meant our only regret was not staying longer. Our hosts were lovely, and even posted a forgotten electric toothbrush on to us after we left!

    Lovely hotel great position, easy parking, we were sorry to leave.. we had a hire car but theres a bus stop right outside that goes to garmisch. If your wondering where to stay look no further.

    In a beautiful location with fantastic views of Ettal. Only a 30min drive to the Eibsee/Zugspitze gondala. The apartment was very clean, modern and with full kitchen amenities. Thankyou again!
