Seville is a city that lends itself perfectly to just wandering around and soaking up the atmosphere. And there is plenty of atmosphere to soaked up.
People watching is very much a pastime here, and all over Seville restaurants teem with well-heeled locals enjoying a laid-back coffee or cerveza under the shade of a citrus tree.
The city also has its fair share of must-see sights. At the top of the list is Plaza de España whose monumental, semi-circular building is elaborately decorated with Andalusian tiles. Also typically Andalusian is the Seville Bull Ring, though what goes on inside may not be to everyone’s taste. The resting place of Christopher Columbus, UNESCO World Heritage-listed Seville Cathedral is an awe-inspiring structure whose vast vaults provide welcome relief from the heat of the day.
But it’s after dark that things really start to heat up. Streets pulse to the rhythm of flamenco, and with more bars per inhabitant than anywhere else in Europe, there’s no shortage of choice for nightlife.
Just on the outskirts of the city is Seville Airport. Public transport from here provides easy access to the array of Seville hotels, guest houses and apartments that Booking.com has to offer.

Beautiful city, a lot to visit.
Beautiful city, a lot to visit. Think of booking cathedral and alcazar way in advance to have good spots : entering alcazar after 6pm is too late to see it all and to have explanations. It is big.
Some less famous spots can be as nice to visit as the cathedral or the alcazar.
Lots lots lots of churches!!
The audioguides were generally not good compared to what I had in Barcelona where everything was playful, smooth and instructive. Maybe I should have had more guided tours! People were mostly nice and though crowded it was not too much. I loved the general atmosphere of the town. I thought it was relaxing.
Gluten free options exist in Spain which is nice.

Sevilla is a very different Spanish city, larger areas to commune and eat outside providing a bustling fun vibe, with the river area a wonderful to wander around. Sevilla is a flat and easy walkable city with lots of wonderful tapas bars. The historical centre including the size and grandeur of the dominating Cathedral something to admire from all sides and Alcazar absolutely stunning, with more intricate decoration internally than the Alhambra, however the gardens don’t equate to Generalife. (Pre booking tickets a must for both). We fell in love with this city in our 24 hours and wished we had more time to embrace her culture and beauty.

Loaded with history, charm and an exceptional quality of life, Seville is an attractive tourist destination. We could have stayed two weeks and just enjoyed the Flamenco dances, the restaurant scene, the historical sights and just walking through the neighborhoods and sitting in the outdoor patios of all the cafes. It's so charming, you have to pinch yourself to remind that it is a privilege to be able to come all this way to enjoy it and that the residents put up with all of us tourists!

A magical city full of discoveries - at least one at every street corner in the old centre. And warm, wonderful people. If you're looking for a beautiful city brimming with life and history - whether just to get lost in or to enjoy spectacular sights - Seville is your place. Tips: instead of booking expensive flamenco theatre tickets ahead, try to catch some live on the street - in Plaza de Espana before sunset, for example. Casa Morales has some of the best tapas and Jerez wine in town at affordable prices, and is a cultural landmark in its own right. And the Giralda/Cathedral and Alcazar are the must-dos in terms of historical sights.

Seville is a wonderful and safe city with many places to...
Seville is a wonderful and safe city with many places to visit. Architecture, palaces, cosy little streets. Plaza de España and the Real Alcázar are delightful. I think 2-3 days are enough to see the most popular tourist spots.
Most beautiful places are within walking distance. Sometimes I used public buses - no problems at all.
We had the best stay at Palacio Bucarelli, it might now be our favourite hotel in Spain! The staff were friendly and welcoming, and very helpful. We loved our room, the rooftop pool was just perfect during the scorching Seville summer, and the room was very spacious and very well appointed. The kitchenette was very useful, and everything was clean. The communal courtyard and honesty bar is a lovely touch. The breakfast baskets are inspired too - making it even more of a private, special experience. We felt completely at home,
So I read reviews and wasn’t sure if it would be as quiet as people said being next door to alcazar and cathedral but on a Friday and Saturday night , usually party nights in Spain it was really quiet only noise I heard in morning was clip clop of the horse carriages going by. Suite was way larger than I expected and bonus of a small terrace where I sat out at night. Staff friendly at reception place. Really happy with my choice of hotel in Seville
What a fantastic old little boutique hotel, fantastically located in the best part of the old town. Easy walk to everywhere. We parked our car and didn't touch it for 3 days! Be prepared to taxi or walk with wheelie bags to hotel, stopping nearby is tricky but that's the price of its glorious location. We had an elderly relative with us and best of all it has an elevator and a fabulous roof terrace. Staff were lovely and always willing to help us.
This hotel is absolutely beautiful and the room was amazing, clean , comfortable, tasteful. The location excellent, but the very best was the nice lady on the reception, she was superb. I can't remember the name now, she was just delightful. I think this is on my top ten list of all the hotels I have ever been. I want to thank Soho Boutique Seville for making such good memories for me during my time in Seville. Thank you!
This is a brilliant hotel. I knew it years ago before it was reformed. What a difference! The rooms are spacious, beds the most comfortable I have had in a hotel, lovely toiletries, tea and coffee facilities (not very common in Spain!) Huge TV, lots of little extras that make a difference. The solarium pool and gym are fabulous and the staff could not be more helpful. This is my new go to hotel in Seville now!
Location was great - if you arrive by air, the airport shuttle takes you right to the old town area and the hotel is within 5min walk. It’s super close to the Real Alcazar and cathedral and we were able to take some short rest in between the visit in our room - quite a relief in the hot Seville summer. The Lukanda team has been very responsive to address any questions we had.
The DUPLEX is EVERYTHING we need…. I am a dad and a husband and snore OBNOXIOUSLY LOUD…. my 15 year old daughter was complaining that my snoring kept her awake. The “2 zoned sleep space” kept my wife and daughter rested and well adjusted…
Location location location!!! We will most definitely look at this space anytime we return to Seville, Spain! That’s a promise…
I have been traveling in Spain for the last month, these were probably the most comfortable beds that I slept in during that time. It was awesome that it was so quiet as some of the places I stayed in, were very noisy with people talking outside the windows.
I am extremely happy that it had very good air conditioning and yes, I would highly recommend staying here!
In our ten day trip to Spain, this was our best apartment. Super clean, perfect location, comfortable. Beds were wonderful. It was so modern and new. We used the washing machine. Last, no one tells you they have a concierge, Karina, who is available for WhatsApp for all your needs: taxi, restaurant recommendations, flamenco tickets, whatever.
Hotel Casa 1800 is an extremely lovely boutique hotel located in the centre of the old town of Seville. We had a junior suite with jacuzzi and it was a very spacious comfortable room. The breakfast was nice and it was wonderful to have afternoon tea available. The free bottled water was also appreciated.
Amazing hotel in the middle of the old town! Despite that Seville doesn’t have sea - the rooftop pool and the bar is a great bonus during the super hot daytime! The rooms are big, clean. The AC worked perfectly and it was very quiet. The staff is friendly!
The hotel was much better than the pics on Booking.com. A real taste of old world Spain. If you want white washed walls and sterile atmosphere, this is not the place for you. I lived in Spain over 50 years ago and this is the authentic Spain I loved.
It was cozy and located in a central area. Good communication from property manager. There is a small plaza that is good for dropping off luggage if you are driving. Beware like many older cities in Spain, the streets are small!
The room was spacious, the panoramic view was just amazing, the furniture, the bathroom and the hotel restaurant all were just gorgeous. The staff gave a special offer as it was my first visit to Spain with a free breakfast.
Lovely roof terrace, great room excellent staff couldn’t fault it. Ideal position for all the main sites will definitely stay here if in Seville again , one of the best hotels I have stayed in in Spain.
