FAQs about hotels in Valencia

A Walk Through History

As the city that brought paella to the world, Valencia is a culinary delight. Don't miss out on sipping fresh, local orange juice or enjoying tasty tapas in a sidewalk café.

Wandering this relaxed city is like taking a walk through history. From the Roman remains in the archaeological museum to the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences, the architecture ranges from the dramatic to the sublime. A mix of styles from the outside, medieval Valencia Cathedral comes into its own inside. The gilt carvings and vibrantly-painted dome are a sight to behold.

The greatest triumph of city planning is the Turia River Park. Created on the bed of a redirected river, it provides much-needed shade in a city with an impressive sunshine record. Of course, you can always cool down on the fantastic beaches, lapped by warm Mediterranean waters.

Former hosts of the European Grand Prix, Valencians take their sport seriously and so they should. Try to take in a match at the 75,000-seater Valencia FC stadium to experience the electric atmosphere.

As Spain’s 3rd largest city, Valencia has wild nightlife, so if that’s your cup of tea, city center hostels are a great choice. Alternatively, Booking.com also has guesthouses, central apartments and even hotels near Valencia Airport.

It was our 2nd visit to Valencia, and we stayed for 10 days...

It was our 2nd visit to Valencia, and we stayed for 10 days (previously a week). Yet, there is so much more to see in this beautiful city. You can take a stroll along Turia gardens - a pleasant escape from the heat of the city. Apart from the no-brainers (City of Arts and Science, Torres de Serranos, Mercado Central, Valencia Cathedral, etc.), one can explore the many Jardins of Valencia - from Royal Jardins, Jadin de Montefort, Jardin Botanico, spend a day at the beach or appreciate the stunning modern art collection of Hortensia Herrera in a magical renovated palace worthy of it. Do not miss a visit to Albufera and El Palmar to enjoy the nature and the stunning sunset over the laguna. Alternatively, there is so much more to discover in Valencia region - from charming coastal towns (Altea) to mountain villages which date from the Middle Ages (Guadalest). You can enjoy the hot springs and waterfalls of Fuego des Algar - but don't go there in the peak of summer as they are overcrowded. The caves of San Jose are a must - you will enjoy the boat ride in the longest underground navigatable river in Europe! Whatever you like, be confident that Valencia can cater for every taste :) Enjoy!

Beautiful city with lots of places to visit and easy to walk around or ride the bicycle. They have a special beach where dogs can run without lace and you see lots of them having fun. Renting scooters, e-bikes or bicycles is quite easy, the foodmarket has excellent fish to buy and cook.

Best thing was buses took CASH with very helpful drivers too!!! Easy city to get around. BEAUTIFUL huge open spaces like most other Spanish cities. Has its own distinct character - purposeful and hopeful citizens. Lots of eating places, Valor for churros of course! But unfortunately over the last 20 years there has been a mushrooming of US style chain eateries in the malls which destroy any local foods - perhaps this is to give the locals a taste of the US ;), though still possible to find gems such as Tria, great restaurant in Porta Del Mar with amazing homely food served by courteous, friendly and attentive staff. Valencia is blessed with SO much - Aside from the attractions in the Arts and Sciences Park, in the Old City there are a wealth of gems: Ceramics and Arts Museum, Jerusalem Road Market (?Tuesdays), Indoor Market with a wealth of local and genuinely Spanish produce (the building is worth a visit alone!), the Bullring, the Corn Exchange, the Cathedral, Torres de Serrano, the huge squares with beautiful characterful buildings, a lot of green spaces! Keep your eyes open or you might miss something! Happy memories once again! Until our return to this beautiful city filled with resilient citizens who in the last 2 years since our last visit have suffered a multistorey building fire as well as the floods this year. An amazing people in a superb city :)

The location was good being halfway between the beach and town centre. We used the local buses to get around as they were frequent and cheap. The breakfast at the hotel was excellent. All the staff were very helpful and always had a smile on their faces! Our room was quiet and very clean. Lovely inner courtyard for lounging or having breakfast. It was nice to sit in the front garden in the evening with a cold beer from the bar.
