Nice staff who were helpful/efficient with check in, leaving bags at the hotel, giving suggestions. Breakfast was ample and delicious (had great salmon for breakfast, wish I had tried their typical Finnish Karjalanpiirakka, etc). The room was a bit small but for one person it was perfect. It was quiet and very clean. Central location--only 10 min walk from the central station which will take you to/from the airport in 45-50 min.

Scratch beneath the small-town surface of Helsinki and you will find a cosmopolitan metropolis buzzing with a lively attitude and plenty of excitement. The relatively short-lived summer offers the best chance to appreciate the outdoors and sit on one of the popular café terraces, or even hit the Hietaniemi Beach, all of which can be enjoyed during the 20 hours of daylight.

I was so lucky with the weather. The city center is small so you can walk around. Especially, I liked the Helsinki Catedral and the Orthodox church.
Don't forget to visit SUOMENLINNA island.
I also had delicious coffee and Cafe Enchante. You can stop by there and have their specialty coffee.

I loved Helsinki. As a lone tourist, I found it very safe.
I loved Helsinki. As a lone tourist, I found it very safe. Getting round was so easy with the public transport. I found it easier to get Finnish food at the markets, there was a range of restaurants, but many were foreign. Suomenlinna was so worth the visit. I got a 24 hour ABC ticket from the Airport and this covered my travel to the city by train, ferry to Suomenlinna the next day and various journeys on trams and metro for 24 hours. Brilliant value. Also pensioner rates are good.

We loved the library and the Music Centre and a wonderful coffee place called 'Roberts coffee' in the centre.
It felt very safe and had interesting buildings to walk around.
For me it was so bitterly cold and snowed twice - in April - and although I like snow I didn't enjoy the ice the following days. I need to travel to somewhere warm!
Food - OK; expensive.

Nice town, with great public transport. Many trip options. Fantastic idea of a library open to anyone, combing a cafe, reading room, games room together - you can get in for free and stay a long long, have coffe, read or play games. An option to by by ferry for a day to Tallin. A great museum on Suomelina island and a great day out, fantastic saunas, good food in the Market Hall.

Nice city. It's a place to live and not to visit.
Nice city. It's a place to live and not to visit. In rapport to southern European cities it doesn't have much to offer, so, no museums, any spectacular city sight, but in the end is an enjoyable place.
Very handy location, 10 mins from citycentre by tram, 15 by foot, in a leafy part of town. Right nect to the beautiful Töölö bay, next to Opera House. Tons of really good restaurants in the area, almost better selection than city center that has a lot of fast food or expensive places. Hotel has beautiful decor. I got my favourite room second time: awesome view over the bay. Rooms are spacious, very well cleaned, well equipped and tastefully decorated. Very quiet. This hotel is on my ideal Helsinki hotel lust on position 1.
Room was lovely, very clean and well kept. Location is absolutely perfect. Breakfast is great. I was also able to get an amazing dinner in the hotel restaurant one evening and avoid the business of the city center. This might be a small thing for some, but I really appreciated that I was able to open a window in the room to get some proper fresh air in and not just rely solely on the aircon.
This hotel was recommended by a friend and I am so happy I booked it! Will come back when I am in Helsinki again.
Good sized rooms with amazing breakfast. Staff very friendly and supportive.
Location is kind a mid between airport (approximate 35 bus drive) and city center (25 min bus drive approx).
Bus 415 can take you from airport to almost in front of the hotel (bus stop is on the main road and hotel adjacent to a small road)... many buses can take you to city center (senate square etc). On the way back have to go via a bridge as bus stop is other side of the highway.
It is a very nice hotel, fresh and new, loved the design. We had a smart room only, which despite its size had everything we needed. The breakfast was a good selection of good quality food, and I loved the spa even though it wasn't included in the room and had to pay 20 euro extra for it. The hotel is located a 10-15 minute busride from the city center and busses are quite frequent. The hotel offers early breakfast as well if needed.
Amazing vibe and decor! Expectations blown!
Right in the city center and close to train to airport.
Staff gave a warm welcome and provide us with a room well before check in time! (No other hotel ever done that for me).
Room was spacious and clean... Everything you need.
Breakfast had several choices and delicious. Even had green healthy juice available... This would be a breakfast place I would go to in London.
These are probably the cheapest private rooms in Helsinki city center, and you get what you pay for. Which for a short stay is great, all things considered. Checking in and out is a breeze, the rooms are spacious and well equipped with fridge, kettle (there's free tea as well) and microwave. The place is quiet and the location is excellent, barely a 5 minutes walk from the main street in Helsinki.
The room was comfortable, although not the most comfortable bed I’ve had in hotels. Everything was clean and accessible, the breakfast was excellent, and had plenty of choices. The location was perfect; very easy access to the main train station as well as other public transport, and also central enough that much of the city center could be explored by foot from the hotel.
The hotel is very clean, modern and comfortable. The room was well equipped, the bed was very comfortable. We had an amaizing view on Helsinki city center. The location is perfect, aspecially the train station in the same building, so you have an easy connection to the city center, airport, as well as long-distance destinations. The breakfast was excellent.
There was an up to 2h free parking on the side of the road in front of the hotel, and it was free all night, it saved us. The parkings are not cheap in Helsinki.
24h grocery shop downstairs.
Typical Finnish apartment, soundproof and well ventilated. The third bed is in a little tiny space separated by a sliding door.
Blackout curtains.
The hotel is very well designed, staff was suoer friendly and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, plenty of food to choose from. Bonus point for being able to pick when I want to go breakfast.
The city center is not very close, but it can be reached quickly with tram 9, so transportation wasn't a problem.
The rooms are very nice, very well equipped and look like brand new! You also can use the common kitchen and other areas if you like. The communication is convenient between the airport and the hotel and the city center. I could see myself staying here also for longer period (during a business trip for example).
Loved this boutique hotel within a block of the city center and waterfront. Room was clean and quiet. Beds were super comfy. The breakfast, which was included, was awesome. Try the porridge, for sure! And the staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. Overall, I highly recommend!
Good location, easy to reach the city center by bus and to the airport in 15mins by car. You needs to have a car to reach the hotel. Breakfast is good with lots of different choices. Services and facilities are good too. Room is compact and comfort.
The hotel is the successful renovation of a former jail. Lovely
The room is large and very quiet.
Wifi works well.
The breakfast is exceptional.
The tram 4 stopping in front of the hotel is very useful as the hotel is outside of the city center
The rooms are lovely, comfortable and warm. The breakfast is brilliant, plenty of choice and the hotel location is great. Not too far from the city centre but far away enough for it to be nice and quiet
Although the hotel is kind of worn out, showing its age, the services are great and it provides good comfort.
It is very conveniently located near the railway station and city center.
