2nd time in Paris and loved it again!
2nd time in Paris and loved it again! Oh though a few things that I realized on this trip. Parisians are inpatient at the crossing light, if the cars are not coming then they will cross. Walking, walking walking, and public transportation; or rental bicycle is the way to get around easy in Paris. Be mindful and smart about restroom. Every time you are at restaurant, don't forget to use it. Public restrooms are very limited and not so sanitary so don't even go there. Department stores they may charge you up to 1.5 euro to use it.
Stores will not produce tax free document unless your purchase total exceed 100.01 euro. You can combine your receipt from the same store to meet the threshold. But you have to claim it with in 3 days of purchase. it's 20% tax, so better do this right!
My favorite spot in Paris is the le Crystal, a restaurant by the Arc de Triomphe. The food is decent, but the view of the Arc de Triomphe is you may want to add to your memory.

I have been to Paris many times but always enjoy going there. There is plenty to do. It is easy to get around by foot. We found a good traditional French restaurant next to Shakespeare and Company and a friendly sandwich shop near the Luxembourg Gardens. This time we strolled around the Luxembourg Gardens on a perfect Sunday summer afternoon - young orchestra playing in the bandstand, visited the Louvre which had so many incredible things but was mega busy - good idea to book - and also enjoyed just wandering around the first arrondissment and the Latin Quarter.

Absolutely loved Eiffel Tower, Siene River, park area, Louvre Museum, On off Bus. Walking around was easy, crazy traffic though, not sure how the drivers can manage but they do. The bikes and pedestrians just run out when ever they feel like, this is more down town central though. (Lineups at Louvre were crazy, you must get ticket in advance on line or you won't like the wait and crowds)
The area outside Louvre was fun, interesting and entertaining. Musicians, dancers all kind loved it.
If you're not French speaking, look out, they can and will be very rude. I had a run in with a Server, who stole money as his tip, even after insulting me and then avoiding me. I let another Server working what he did and suggested he not be in this customer service industry. Others I've had are not so bad.
Felt safe in my neighborhood and walking around down town. Uber drivers came quickly when called!! Awesome
I think I was lucky to stay at the Virgina Hotel, as they are very helpful with transit and bus info. Room was bit small, but patio doors and that, even tight, made up for it.
Bed was very comfortable.

We enjoyed finding a studio flat with facilities on our budget of 600 euros. Having the metro around the corner helped us navigate our trip around the city.
We loved the Moulin Rouge, with beautiful champagne to enjoy in such a beautiful historic theatre, which was expensive but well worth it.
Our other trip was a 1-hour trip on the Seine. Received lots of information from guide.
We found a lovely café bar called Docks Café opposite our accommodation, great Manager. Just around the corner, supermarket and cafés dotting around the place. We did a lot of walking around, just sightseeing and enjoying the beautiful weather. I went to a flea market which was brilliant, picked up items at cheap prices. It was an experience I would love to repeat another year.
The hotel is a good price/option when you are booking late and prices in Paris are off the charts. But it is really a budget option so you need to be flexible with some details. The location is really good compared with other budget options that are in the outskirts of the city, also lots of Metro stations really close by. The reception guy that we had to deal with was very nice and accommodating. The room cleaning ladies were really nice and overall the building is new so in much better shape that many other old Paris cheap hotels.
I booked last minute and arrived flustered from a personal crisis - the hotel is super cute, literally one of the best locations in Paris, and the front desk staff was the absolute sweetest. Windows that open are also a huge plus for me and my room was across a little walkway so that even if I could hear other people from the courtyard it felt super cozy while breezy at the same time. Updated details did not feel cheap or too 'tik tok' like they sometimes do, kept the classic Parisian feeling whilst being very clean and welcoming.
The hotel is in a quiet street but close to everything in Paris, lovely shops nearby and places to eat. The rooms are small but beautifully furnished with shuttered windows opening onto the courtyard. The bathroom had been newly renovated.
The breakfast was a little underwhelming given the croissants and pastries are below par for - not just France - but anywhere! it would have been nicer to be able to sit outside for breakfast given the beautiful warm days in September.
The staff are all lovely and very friendly.
I booked it because it was cheaper than other hotels. According to its price, it was very good. A cleaning lady came every day. The staff was very nice and cooperative. The room was small but cozy and nice. We had our own toilet, even if it was a small one. But that is understandable because of the low price. The hotel is surrounded by many options to eat, there is a Chinese restaurant right next to the hotel. And a very good bakery. All in all, it was a very good deal. I would stay here again, if I go to Paris.
Very cheap Hotel. You get what you pay for. The staff were nice. The room was alright. The bed was good, the bedding was old but clean. We had a sink and wardrobe in the room. There was a view of Paris. Windows were big enough. Lights were bright enough for the whole room. It wasn't too noisy. We stayed on the fourth floor. Like I said, everything is justifiable. For tourists, this may be too shocking. For people used to living in Paris, it is what it is.
The rooms are small but well appointed , very clean. Hotel Familia is in an exceptional location in the Latin Quarter, 5th arr. short walk to Norte Dame and the Seine. Several metro stations within walking distance. Staff is wonderful, during our stay AirFrance had lost my luggage they were most helpful, as communicating was quite difficult with airline, due to the language barrier. Special thanks to Wilson at the reception desk.
Great location, it's near convenience stores, pharmacies, there's even a cinema very close by (if you want to try that out), lots of dining options right outside the hotel. There is great WiFi in the rooms.
It was a small room, but it was warm, clean and comfortable. We only used it to shower and sleep. Not the best looking place, but it was very cheap. The staff were very nice and kind. Would recommend it to people on a budget.
I was expecting a much bigger bedroom - the picture from the hotel was misleading. It was really tiny, same for bathroom. I presume that there are very different 3 stars hotels in Paris, so I will look for something less cheap next time, but with bigger room.
Location was of course convenient, you are very close from the main center, there are nice bars and restaurants around. And... the price was still competitive.
The location is perfect. The best in Paris. Across the street Buci street with many great cafes.
New renovated rooms and hotel. Elevator and good air-condition.
Room was very small with a high window facing the sky.
Breakfast was nice but expensive. Breakfast wasn't included in our price so we used it once. Rest of the time we went out to the beautiful cafes around the corner which were cheaper and wider options.
The location of this hotel is excellent. It is on a pedestrian street lined with beautiful food shops. There are two metro stations near by. It's close enough to Saint Lazare and Opera area to walk. The rooms are small but the bed was very comfortable. There was no fridge in the room and no tea/coffee making facilities, but this seems to be common in France. I would definitely return if in Paris again.
Virginia was the breakfast manager and she made our trip wonderful. She was very knowledgeable and welcoming, which was a wonderful difference from the rest of France. She made suggestions and gave insight on the area. The room had wonderful Air-conditioning which was missing throughout the rest of Paris. It was so comfortable to come back to a clean, cool, and lovely room each night!
The location was excellent, just where I needed to be. The staff were nice and helpful. I was on a budget and needed to book something in the area on short notice, so I was happy to be able to stay there. It is just being cheap in comparison to other hotels nearby is still expensive for what the hotel offers. You pay for the location very heavily here and not for comfort.
Artemisia Montmartre is a cute boutique hotel. The reception is very nice and accommodating. The beds are comfortable. Breakfast is fairly good. The televisions are large and are allow you to download apps, so that you can stream, which is really nice, as the another place I stayed in France only had tv without English subtitles.
I just loved L’oasis Montparnasse. The staff is incredibly kind, they speak fluent English so you have no communication problems. The place is really beautiful and clean and compared to other facilities in France is big . I loved it and I am absolute coming back. This hotel exceeded my expectations by far.
One of the best hotels in Paris, really good rooms, value for money when it comes to France, love the environment and keep coming back if I can, sometimes depending on events in the area they can be really expensive and then cannot book it. That is the only downside, people like it so prices go up.
Staff were very helpful and friendly, great breakfast, as far as budget hotels go, this one is great value for money. 5 minute walk to the metro. Great location for exploring Paris. Cheap on site parking for 24 hours in a secure car park.
Dry friendly staff and beautiful boutique hotel . Booked last minute upon arrival to the airport in France . Location is excellent great cafe and restaurants as well as grocery store on the same block .Metro 5 minutes away walking.
During the covid shutdown we stayed in various hotels in Paris. Thankfully the Amiral hotel has reopened - it is by far the best 4*, not the cheapest but well worth the extra. And the heated indoor pool is just too.
Great location near SNCF station. I'm sorry I didn't get the guy's name at the front desk but he was hands down the friendliest hotel employee we met in 5 weeks of traveling through France. Give that guy a raise!
Very nice staff who tried to help with any request. Great location close to the Pantheon and other Paris sights. Bed was very comfortable and the shower was the best we had over a three week trip to France.
