All the people we met were friendly & pleasant which put to bed the reputation of the French being rude & unfriendly. We spent 3 nites 2 days there at the beginning of our France tour & will spend another 5 days at the end. Rented a car to see other places like Mont St. Michel & Lourdes and have not had any problem with driving around or getting out of Paris.
My husband really had his heart set on the Eiffel tower so we walked there both days. Whatever the guide books say in approx. walking time--double it, sometimes triple. They are talking about 20 yr. olds who are very healthy!! We splurged on dinner at Madame Brassiere on the 2nd floor of Eiffel tower (cost $160@) Very dissapointed !! Don't waste your money---go there for lunch during the day, you'll have a better experience, cheaper & much more variety of food choices.

Plan your days and but tickets in advance as queues for all attractions are very long especially the Louvre.
Be prepared to walk a lot to make the most of the many sights as you will miss a lot by using the metro.
Go to bars and restaurants out of the main tourist areas.

Paris is one of my favorite cities.
Paris is one of my favorite cities. Be aware of the extremely aggressive people on the street trying to sell souvenirs. We had delicious breakfast Les Artistes. Lunch at Jackpot! Highly recommend both. Jackpot has a 3 course prefix meal of the day! Just go and eat great food!

The hustle and bustle, busy brasseries and cafes, quirky shops and hidden markets. Very easy to get about by bus, metro and walking. Some areas such as around Pont Neuf and St Denis were exceptionally busy and a lot of beggars. However, Paris delivers as a city where you can keep exploring and never see it all! Buy a Navigo pass for 10 journeys on any public transport and get out there.

Paris, the City of Light, enchants with its iconic landmarks, stunning architecture, and vibrant culture. Enjoy world-class art at the Louvre, savor exquisite cuisine at charming cafés, and explore picturesque neighborhoods like Montmartre. Despite its crowds and costs, the city's romantic allure and rich history make it an unforgettable destination.
This place is Massive.
We had booked the comfort double room. It comes with the minibar including snacks and coffee machine loaded everyday. Room was clean and spacious.
Rates were comparatively cheaper than all the other places around the area.
Location is superb. We used the public transport to move around Paris; thanks to the staff for guiding us throughout.
Best Tip: Book the room on the higher floor coz the hotel is on the main busy street.
This is a very good 3 star hotel. Good bed, room not as small as in Paris usually, very nice breakfast with tomato, cucumber and other fresh things, good orange jiuice and caffe, and croissants, of course. Very nice people iin reception, speaking good English without accent what has been problem in France sometimes. Breakfast room is big but it was quite full of people. You can take tea, coffee and water all day.
This is one of the best cheap hostels you will find in Paris. Good location and people at the reception desk is both helpful and service minded.
If you are on a shoe string budget in the capital of France: strongly recommended.
