Start with public transport navigo, add 1 week pass, enjoy. Schedule attractions visits with plenty of time to stroll around. To avoid long queues or disappointments from high expectations, don't go necessarily to the highest rated restaurants or places, you can simply walk around and find a very nice place around the corner. ( Do check the recent reviews when you reach a spot though :) ) I would pay more for a flight that lands on CDG instead of Beauvais, for the quicker transit from airport to Paris centre.

Paris is a huge city with so much to do.
Paris is a huge city with so much to do. There are the obvious must see and do's like the Eifel Tower, Louvre, Arch De Triumph, and food, but there is so much more too. One tip I recommend, buy a ticket to the top of the Arch De Triumph and take in the Eifel Tower from there and avoid the crowds at the tower unless being at the top of the tower is on your bucket list. Check out the catacombs too, very different than what you will see anywhere else.

We only slept in Paris.
We only slept in Paris. We stopped over for a day-trip to the Loire Valley and slept in our hotel the night before and the night after our trip. But from previous trips I can say this: I love Paris! There is so much to see and do, parks and galleries to visit, public roller skating and bike rides through the streets, wonderful food to eat, and history to explore. And the overall ambience of the city is just wonderful.

Paris is everything you want it to be and would require several visits to cover everything. I would recommend researching and planning some things to do during your stay. For a basic meal, you’re looking at around £25 to £30 euros. We based ourselves in Montmartre which we found was to our artistic tastes and was a rest after the more bustling parts of Paris. We bought our transport tickets in bulk, which didn’t work every time, so I’d recommend downloading an app or buying a pass. We didn’t have any trouble with noise from outside or the neighbors, we were at the back of the hotel and you could hear a bit of noise from the alley, but not enough to disturb us.
