Never knew how much there is to do here! We had a lovely walk into town and popped into a few of the older pubs (highly recommend Minerva, Ye Olde Black Boy and Fretwells). Was much busier than expected on Saturday afternoon! Then visited the museum quarter the next day and loved it. Will be returning to do some of the trails! Locals friendly, especially en route to and at the football ground. Only thing that could have made it better was if Hull had let us have all 3 points!

Marina area & museums excellent.
Marina area & museums excellent. Old town quite tatty & not much to see. Recommend Hull as a base with 1 day to walk around + 1 museum + 1 more for the Deep & another museum. Highly recommend beautiful Beverley for a visit

I used to study there sometime in the last century.
I used to study there sometime in the last century. It is a quirky and interesting city, not beautiful like Edinburgh or Venice but that doesn't mean there isn't a lot of beauty to be found if you take a close look.
Hull gets slagged off by people who have never been there, which is very unfair. It has a lot of history and nice architecture. And compared to most other major cities it's cheap as chips (and the chips are very good!)
Arrive there via the magnificent Humber Bridge. Visit the Ferens Art Gallery. Take in a show at Hull Truck, The New Theatre or the World Class Don Roy Theatre at the university campus. And enjoy the revitalised harbour and Old Town

Currently there are road works near the hotel .
Currently there are road works near the hotel . That and poor sat nav directions made negotiating the roads entering the outskirts of the city difficult. I know Hull is a great city to visit once there.
I would avoid sat nav and head for the signs for the Humber Bridge before turning onto the Beverley road to find the hotel.
Booked this at very last minute to get away over bank holiday.
Staff on reception were lovely and friendly on arrival and very helpful.
Room decor was tired and it wasn’t overly clean with a big cobweb in bathroom which had me doubting the overall cleanliness baring in mind how high Covid rates are in the city but I have to say it was the best nights sleep I’ve had in months- the bed was soooooo comfy!
Only had breakfast at the hotel which was ok.
Would consider returning again soon
The Cornmill is in a good location for the town centre and for East Hull where my family live. Our room was small but comfortable with everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The shower was nice and hot. There was a restaurant downstairs where we had a very nice evening meal. The hotel is reasonably priced and we would stay there again.
The hotel is located in city centre, opposite to a big shopping mall so it was pretty convenient. The staff was very lovely and helpful. Plenty of spaces for parking. Room was spacious and very comfy bed. Good noise and light block-out curtain. Warm and nice shower.
Staff went above and beyond for our needs, the hotel was immaculate couldn’t fault it at all, the breakfast was delicious well worth the money. I would recommend staying here if visiting Hull best hotel around
It's a good, cheap, clean hotel close to the city centre. They have shared kitchen facilities so you can cook and free parking. Amy the manager was quite happy to do a deal for a long term stay.
1. Great staff with good customer service. Ultra helpful, informative & accommodating
2. Very convenient location to Hull centre & restaurants/pubs
3. Marina view rooms are excellent
Fantastic location, a few minutes walk tothe marina and city centre. Even though it doesn't have a car park, there is a multi-storey around the corner at £3 for 24 hrs.
the hotel was ok visited hull for a show and was somewhere to put our heads down. The staff was friendly and the bed was comfortable. Good location near the city centre
The rooms were lovely, clean, comfortable, very good value, food good, near to everything not far to the town centre, we will definitely be returning 😃
