As a 'local' I've been coming here since the 1960s and watched it decline into a race-track of noisy cars with revving engines and loud exhausts, dog excrement-strewn streets, and unbelievably expensive facilities. (£4.75 for a bar of chocolate that's £1.50 in Tescos?) There are still good parts, and they should be praised for continuing to provide a good service, but in too many areas it's derelict buildings, rubbish-strewn back alleys, and a real money-trap. The weekend 'parade' of young people in loud modified cars really spoils the streets and their revving will keep you up all night no matter how good your hotel windows.Guest review byColin LUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Good variety of shopping as well as bars and restaurants. Locals very friendly and helpful. Found a venue playing live traditional music (springhill bar). On the most part prices reasonable . Recommend ques bar food excellent also kiwi for food and great atmosphere . We visit every year. Plenty of lovely beaches & delicious food. Kids enjoy visiting the coastal zone & play parks. Lovely coastal walks. Always visit the White House & shops. As well as a trip to the Phils amusements & Curry's for the fun rides.Guest review byRachelIreland
