There is only 1 Bar in Dufftown and it’s basic but has a dart board but that’s your lot.now as others lost business to Covid. There’s an Indian which is average and take away which is basic. The people were friendly.
The people were friendly. Unfortunately the tourist information office had been shut down. There were plenty of distilleries nearby if you had a car. There were good walking tracts if you had a medium level of fitness. Charming little town in the heart of whisky country!
Charming little town in the heart of whisky country! Glenfiddich Distillery with its excellent visitor facilities situated in the town and several other distilleries open to view in the locality. An interesting ruin, Balvenie Castle, to explore on the outskirts of the town. Dufftown also boasts its own heritage railway which is definitely worth a visit.
