Fabulous historic inn. They took good care of me as a coast path walker. Made sure I had breakfast
set up despite my very early checkout! Great food and atmosphere.

The accommodation is not within walking distance of Kingsbridge which is around 7 miles away. Kingsbridge is a lovely town, we have family there, but did not stay around there - Blackpool Sands and Torcross/Slapton Sands are a short drive away and I recommend visiting these too.

Everything but one pub was shut on Sunday!
Everything but one pub was shut on Sunday!
Otherwise, picturesque, lots of independent shops as well as supermarkets, clean and tidy. Everything was walking distance from our flat.
We chose Kingsbridge for the Wild Artichokes restaurant. Its location is awful but the food and service were excellent. In the other pubs and restaurants, the price of a main course is £15 - £22.

The cottage was lovely and once you are there is in a fabulous location. The tight lanes to get to the property can be tricky to navigate especially at night and in the rain. Oncoming traffic can be an issue if there is not a lay-by or pull-in area nearby. It can of course be done with caution and the locals do thank you for reversing to the most appropriate passing place.

We’ve always loved the millbrook inn, so we were very excited to see the cottages become available. The owners have made them stunning and I highly recommend for a relaxing break away from it. So quiet, pretty and comfortable.

Kingsbridge is such a pretty area of Devon and the local people are really lovely. Bentham beach is the most beautiful beach with views that will leave you awestruck. The mountains are really nice to go for an adventurous walk

Pretty little town with good facilities.
Pretty little town with good facilities. Excellent walks, pubs, restaurants. Lots to do and see around the area.
We dined at Twenty Seven which, although on the expensive side, was excellent. Great way to celebrate a birthday.
Very nice, clean kitchen/diner/lounge and very comfortable bed. Owner was very helpful with providing washing powder as we had been traveling for some time and needed to wash some clothes. Tea and coffee and fresh milk were provided, along with chocolate biscuits. The location is a little bit out of Kingsbridge and up some steep hills so we could take an evening stroll into town, but on the other hand the house backed onto fields and the area was nice and quiet. It was just right for us for two nights.
Absolutely stunning property - exceptionally high standard and very lovely little extras left in the house for our arrival.
Good location and great to be provided with a parking permit for the car parks just a few minutes walk away.
We enjoyed exploring Kingsbridge while we stayed at Number 40 (including the very friendly and welcome pub just up the road, The Dodbrooke).
We would definitely recommend Number 40 and will definitely stay again next time we visit Kingsbridge.
Right from the off we got a warm friendly reception when we entered this historic and authentic old Devon pub which was much needed after walking 7 hours in the rain! Warren and Zoe run a lovely informal place with great beer, delicious food and entertaining chat courtesy of Warren always available. If you're after cookie cutter B&B experience keep waking but if you want proper heartfelt hospitality with good food and drink thrown in then roll up. Hope to be back one day!
Absolutely lovely host, a real "bed and breakfast" atmosphere. An easy 15 minute walk from the bus stop in Kingsbridge, or a quick 2 minute taxi ride. The farm and grounds are beautiful and the room itself is massive like a suite. Heated floors in bathroom with a sizeable tub and separate shower. I will definitely stay here again when I am in Kingsbridge.
The host even gave me a ride into town this morning so I didn't have to walk in the rain!
Comfortable & modern furnishings. The property was very clean. Location is excellent as it's central to all of the shops, cafes & restaurants in Kingsbridge & other areas in South Devon. WiFi was good & handy to have Netflix. Although there's no parking, we were able to park with ease in the carpark next to Tesco. You can top up parking easily by using the app.
Amazing location - with some excellent restaurants in the walking distance (in Kingsbridge) and great places to visit on the coast by car. The hosts were very welcoming and we learnt a lot of useful details about the area. Our room was great, lots of space and with most comfortable bed. This place is highly recommended!
The surrounding area is very pretty but Kingston looks near to Kingsbridge/Salcombe it is actually much more remote than it looks on the map. Some roads out of village are really narrow and it took a lot longer to travel around area than we expected. Breakfast good. Pub and rooms very quaint and picturesque
This is a great place to stay; comfortable, friendly and a beautiful house and garden with lovely hosts. Stayed 2 nights in a lovely room with comfortable bed and tasteful furnishings. Could not ask for better. Breakfast was excellent too. Had great advice on where to go and what to see in South Devon.
Great location, couldn't get enough photos
of the sunsets. The lodge was lovely with large comfy bed and a massive decking area, Tim and Helen were very nice hosts. Very handy for Kingsbridge, Salcombe, Dartmouth and Plymouth. Would definitely go back.
We liked the quietness in the hotel. That gave us a luxuxy feeling. We were not able to have breakfast in the morning because we had to leave early. The lady owner made a packet for us to take with us with bread drinks and fruits.
the room & particularly the bathroom were lovely. The breakfast was awesome. Host let us come & go and allowed us to use her conservatory which had an amazing view of the estuary. Joan was a really lovely host, truly devonian.
The most beautiful hotel in a stunning location. We were so well looked after by wonderful hosts Chris and Katy. Loved everything about this place- the breakfast, grounds, decor, our room….. all perfect. Will definitely return.
Clean ,comfortable beds and Donna & Marcus are really friendly. Deezil the dog also made us welcome. Great location to explore this lovely part of Devon. Everything we needed and hope to return again.
Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Good pubs for evening meals nearby. Quiet location in beautifully maintained house. Spacious bathroom with constant hot water.
Great location, easy check in, parking. Really nicely equipped, modern and comfortable. 5 mins walk into Kingsbridge. We would definitely recommend staying here.
Great accommodation in a perfect location to use as a base for exploring South Devon.
Had pretty much everything we needed in terms of equipment / facilities.
